Hello to all, I am needing the actual in-game heights of the MWO mechs.

Could someone please list their heights. I am fairly sure that they have fluctuated from incarnation to incarnation.

I have seen the height comparison charts posted previously, and if they are accurate for MWO that will be great. But I have a feeling they differ.

If you read this PGI, would you please consider adding this to the battlemech descriptions (in game). It would be a nice addition to what information there is.

Edit: Would these heights be for a mech that is powered up or powered down ?

Bad time to do it, as they are rescaling 'Mechs either one at a time or a few at a time, I forget which.

When? Soon™.

I remember the Atlas is ~18M tall (VS ~14 of Lore?), but I think Koniving has more numbers.

Good thought. Do you think that, say, the catapult and warhawk are in for rescaling ? I am just wondering if they should be right, they sure seem to be.

Thank you, this is the sort of information I am chasing. Specifically for the warhawk and catapult.

Lore says they're ~10-20meters tall. 32.5 to 65 feet, roughly. Some were smaller, so basically, 30 to 65 or 70 feet.

Lorewise, most BattleMechs are 10 to 12 meters tall (32.81 to 39.37 feet) tall (with the majority at the lower end of that range), with the shortest 'Mechs (which were not always the lightest 'Mechs) being approximately 8 meters (26.25 feet) tall & the tallest 'Mechs being approximately 14 meters (45.93 feet) tall.
  • The canonical Atlas is about 13 meters tall, but the MWO Atlas is supposed to be about 18 meters tall (per Bryan Ekman, here). The in-game Atlas model is 17.6 meters tall.
  • The canonical Victor is 14 meters tall.
  • The canonical Black Knight is 11 meters tall.
  • The canonical Marauder is 12 meters tall.
  • The canonical Mad Cat is 10 meters tall.
  • The canonical Warhammer is 10 meters tall.
  • The canonical Grasshopper is 12 meters tall.
  • The canonical Thor is ~11-12 meters tall.
  • The canonical Catapult is ~11-12 meters tall, while the MWO Catapult in-game model is (as of this writing) 15.9 meters tall.
  • The canonical Vulture is 11 meters tall.
  • The canonical Centurion is 11 meters tall, while the MWO Centurion in-game model is (as of this writing) 14.7 meters tall.
  • The canonical Phoenix Hawk is 11 meters tall.
  • The canonical Firestarter is ~10-12 meters tall.
  • The canonical UrbanMech is 9 meters tall.
  • The canonical Bushwacker is (just under) 8 meters tall.
  • The canonical Locust is ~8-10 meters tall.
See here/here, here, and here for other data/information. ;)

Remember:
Comparing a tall-but-lean 'Mech like the MWO Shadow Hawk to a more-squat-but-more-stout 'Mechs like the MWO Cataphract or MWO Awesome, or comparing the tall/lean Trebuchet to the squat/stout MWO Hunchback, would be similar to comparing the average basketball player (average height 200.66 cm (6'7"), average weight 99.79 kg (220 lbs); source) to the average sumo wrestler (average height 185 cm (6'1"), average weight 148 kg (326.28 lbs); source) - height alone does not necessarily correlate with (or necessarily serve as a good indicator of) body mass. ;)

Thank you for the verification. Exactly what I was after.

On a side note, I do like the atlas being taller than canon, 18 metres seems correct, to me anyway.
