Hey guys !

I'm back to the game since a long time and i really love this game. I already spend some money at the start of the game for buys some mechs. I'm ok to pay sometime for a FTP it's normal. I really would like to buy some packs but damn it's too ******* expensive !

So i really would like to pay but not like that.

But due too the high price i don't pay and stay in FTP mode. Just game and cbills....

The packs are indeed very expensive. Maybe you can go for the Warhammer or Rifleman pack + Hero for $35. Or A-la-carte one of the Origins IIC mechs. Those give you the best bang for your buck.

Alternatively, just wait for Hero mech sale and buy a Hero mech 50% off--though IS hero mechs in general pale in comparison with some Invasion variant Clan mechs. There are rumors of Clan Hero mechs come next year, if you have the patience to wait. A Timberwolf Hero is likely without equal.

Try being a Canadian player that has to pay an extra 20-35% more because of the US exchange rate.

I find the pricing model fine, its just really sucks that a Canadian company charges Canadian players in USD knowing full well that we'll have to pay 20-35% more. If it wasn't for that I'd more then willing to drop more $$ on MWO.

The thing to remember about the Omnimech clan packs is that they come "pre-upgraded."

No Endosteel / Double heat sink c-bill tax, no need to upgrade to XL as all of them have it already,

Everything is plug and play, and for the most part, only takes about 1-3 mill on top of the initial purchase to pretty much max out everything you need.

Compared to IS designs that require upwards of about 5-10 million C-bills invested PAST the initial purchasing price to bring them up to a competitive level.

If cheaper clan packs for real money is your thing, the Clan battlemechs are going to be coming out next month, you can always pre-order the "origin's pack" to get the clan versions of the IIC mechs which is a much lower price point, but you will more then likely have to save money for the massive amounts of upgrades some of those mechs will need.

That's one hell of an interchange fee man. Or... do you mean because canadian dollars are worth less than USD. If you mean the latter you're paying the same effective price.

Vancouver is a very expensive place to operate. Look at the cost of rent in that city.

Canadian dollar in 1.5 years dropped from around 95 cents to the CAD dollar to about 75 cents. So there is a significant price shock to us Canadians.

For canadians it's really a big pb if you have to pay 20/25 % more than us i understand. But just talk about the base price. Seriously, a full mech ( 3 variants for mastery skills ) cost around 20 euros. Currently game price changed and with 20 euros you can get a really good game and there are so many. So return to the reallity of game market and think about that : 20 euros for just one mech it's insane really !

I'm not saying to don't pay and i suppose if the price will be more soft ( ex: 5 euros for a pack ), the game will have better accessibility.
