It would be very convenient if the friends list showed unit affiliation in the list (even tier level). It would help with the following:

-deciding what players should stay on my list or be removed
-seeing what players are unitless and may be possible recruits

PS. allowing for the creation of custom friends list is also greatly needed! It would make life much easier especially when your list is over 400 long.

Please reply with other reasons for showing unit affiliation and why a custom friends list would be a nice feature.

Couldn't agree more with the above, especially the point about custom friend lists - it is time the friend/unit list UI got an overhaul using the filter mechanism implemented for the new mech lab....along with custom filters/lists.
