Did the Rifleman stand tall
Twin barrels bold
To answer the Houses call
Long and faithful years
did the old gunslinger serve
while Kerensky's ride got all the cheers
despite the PPCs' heat reserve
As soldiers 'Mech,
the trusty Rifleman,
It took skill not to end a wreck
But with strategic acumen
and wise tactic
he'd bring down the biggest of vermin
Good to see the warrior back
So long ignored
Can't wait to flip those arms on track
And watch the enemy get cored

The rifleman stood ever so grand
Till the enemy was forced to retire
Though the heroics were entirely unplanned.

Far in the past and now in the future, ready to defend your house Honor.
Scanning the sky near and far, covering your team from harm above.
Moving behind as the lances rear guard, always alert always ready.
Standing tall, standing with honor, a legend from the past returning to protect its Honor.
First time in 30 yrs I've tried to write a poem.

was so keen to scratch his ass
But with arms that do not bend
you cannot reach to your rear end

[singing]
The once was a mech from Solaris
Who stood as high as a terrace
Its sneaky command-dah
waits for a Victor to Land-a
And blew his a55 back to Paris

Our rifleman mech is best,
Hey boy!
It is not a toy,
It can topple a foe,
Or even hit its toe,
At 1000 meters or more,
With power galore.

Because the Haiku thread resulted to be quite popular, let's have another poem challenge for 3 Days Premium Time! (For everyone who writes a poem)
This time the poem subject is the Rifleman using the ABAB Rhyme scheme with at least 4 lines.
So I take it the only rule is the ABAB rule... OK
A lone mech stands afar?
It must be the Rifleman judging from the art!
Pilot resting with his cockpit door still ajar
Extreme ranging me with his LBX, but I know it will only hit like a cold fart.

So long since you were seen.
Now we have you back again,
The object of our dreams.

This I clearly see.
Crap, I forgot nothing rhymes with purple.
Can I still have premium time for free?
Ok, ok, how about:
The Rifleman strides across the battlefield,
Gaining much respect
For the autocannon that it wields.
Still it is no Jagermech.
(Yes I know the Legend Killer is red and blue...my phone makes it look purple...it's a joke )

ein schuß hier, ein schuß da,
wer ihm begegnet der hat viel pech,
kein feind lebt mehr, wunderbar.

atop a hill like a sentinel wary.
He knows he is but a pawn, a mere token;
the burden of the fallen, the Rifleman must carry.

Can't win if you don't enter, so what the heck. There's my try.

only 10 single heat sinks let this mech run hot,
but the Garret D2j will help the with the aim,
to use autocannons and lasers for the killing shot.

hope that no Rifleman is on the run
you won't get the chance for a counter attack
because RFLs have the fastest gun.
Greets from good old Germany :-D

A single 'Mech stands steady.
If the enemy brings the fight,
The Rifleman is ready.
Across the skies fighters sore,
Unaware of the threat it seems.
The Rifleman fires, autocannons roar,
Followed by a barrage of laser beams.
The enemy approaches, their fate unaware.
In the distance appears a terrible sight.
Their armor begins to rip and tear,
Bullets fly, penetrating the night.
The foe is spent,
Their planes destroyed.
Their armor is rent,
Not enough troops deployed.
For the Rifleman lives by a basic creed,
Cover the air and cover the ground.
For armor you will not need,
If the enemy you royally pound.

Keeping watch over my House and home,
For those who cower behind the wall,
Will never need to worry for a comb.

His gunnery acute and fast
In a Rifleman with its firepower sheer
No enemy against him could last.

it is just to much fun
New Mechs get all of the fame
The Rifleman will get it with it's gun
