PGI, just get rid of the generic game modes, they get boring and are easily exploited. Since there are quite a few unique and interesting maps in MWO, you should make unique and interesting objectives / scenarios for each individual map. There would be separate objectives for the attackers and the defenders and you do not get any cBills unless you achieve your side's objective (you still get xp though). For example:

HPG Network

Scenario: Communications Breakdown

ATTACKER

Objective - Destroy the HPG relay power core in less than 15 minutes.

Bonus - Double rewards if the objective is achieved in less than 10 minutes.

Deployment - Three lances deployed at random points outside the outer wall of the HPG station.

DEFENDER

Objective - Prevent the HPG relay power core from being destroyed.

Bonus - If the HPG relay power core has 50% or more durability remaining after 15 minutes, the defending team will receive double rewards.

Deployment - Three lances two on top and one below the HPG relay (center of the map).

I could write a new and unique scenario for each map, this would make the game far more interesting and challenging and less of a death match. What do the rest of you think?

SO basically, you want standard maps in CW, but with ACTUAL objectives?

OK, I hear ya..

Do you know how quickly this would get old? The PUG maps are not optimized for such warfare... In the OP example.. 4 lights can get the job done in several minutes..

I agree that the game needs some new game modes, and some better CW objectives, but the way you described it would work only as a co-op PVE game mode... against live players, would always result in stomps on one side or the other.. and then all the CW common problems would rear their ugly heads (spawn camping, light rushes, bottlenecking and others)

Well, considering the amount of maps we have, if there us a unique scenario for each map, that will be far more than the three generic objectives that we have now. As far as my example, the HPG power supply (or whatever I called it) would have to have enough "health" to be able to take a decent amount of damage, plus the entire defending team is deployed in the center of the map (above and below), so those four lights would have a tough time. Also, people would vote for the map with the objective that is best for their mech rather than the temperature of the map like they seem to do now.

I feel ya Ed, but the META elite players want MWO to not change!
They love it how it is, how boring and stale the gamemodes in both CW and non-CW matches are. So they can destroy lesser skilled players, then feel all high and mighty about themselves, before going back to work where they are just another Peon or Cog in the wheel at work!

PGI also wants the game to stay JUST HOW IT IS, on a trendmill going nowhere!
Just as long as players willingly hand over their money for "new shiny mechs" (warhammer, rifleman, etc) meanwhile PGI focuses on **** that DOESNT REALLY, I mean REALLY make this game BETTER and DOES NOT ADD to longevity for the Future . . .

I know that the "Meta Elite" are only interested in streaming private competitive matches, or one-sided stomps in group queue or CW? Seriously, though, unique scenarios would make different mechs / builds better for different maps and depending on whether your team are the attackers, or the defenders, it would break up the Meta somewhat.
