I can't help but think how silly a CoF beam weapon would look. Like a shotgun blast suspended in time, with players trying to sweep the most beams onto an opponent.

I already have been OP. Hardly played MWO at all for a few days now, and yes, MWO has been the only game I've played for about 3 months. If I wanted to play a game it was MWO. Deathmatch just not my cup of tea and hasn't been since Quake on dialup modem.

This game needs capture the flag. Screw the lore or 'realism', it would be the best team play this game has ever seen, absolutely needing defense full time.

And delete skirmish completely, players can play that way in any of the other modes. Some of us just want a bit more than that.

I'm voting with my wallet. Not buying anymore MC for premium and colors, which I have been every month.

This is why cone of fire is a terrible idea, energy weapons, other then PPCs, would look like a laser light show and be horrible because they need time to burn, which then every one goes back to using FLD weapons because they at least deal full damage to what ever they hit.

What River City would look like if we had CoF mechanic.

I started a world of warships account earlier, but yet to play. If you see 'Disgruntled Mechwarrior' in a game soon, it's me.

Only if you like to sherk out real money to have a snow balls chance in hell, and if are a new player I really hope you just absolutely love being cannon fodder because you really won't be able to do jack sh*t to the enemy team for quite a while.

I'd still like a Planetary game, like MechWarrior meets Master of Orion2.

I would give my bank account access to whatever company was competent enough to do it.

I hear StarCitizen is like that, but there are serious problems (but I forgot what was said to me about it)

If you think saving to buy 3 mechs, then mastering them is a grind, then don't bother looking at WoT. If you don't care about getting top tier tanks though, it can be a lot of fun.

He is trying to say that you should try out WoT, and realize just how good you had it in MWO.

Let me put it to you this way...

Ahem....

WoT is almost entirely Pay 2 Win. Also, if you think the grind is bad in MWO, then WoT as a noob is like getting kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

MWO is the only game I have played for two years.

That ends today.

I think the main reason is that the what should be the long term meta game for MWO - CW - remains so lacking in actual meta features. That is, there remains no real reason to capture or hold a planet, let along embark on a campaign towards a long term objective.

Anyway, this is the risk PGI took when they decided to focus almost exclusively on Mech Packs. Now, I have more than enough Mechs, but not enough game to play them in. So, I'm not buying a Rifleman Pack, I'm buying another game.

Youre right. Most the time people complain just to cry. Exactly like this whole thread.

People can have their opinions, and complain about what they want. You writting this rant, only to ***** about those who speak their mind, proves it.

The premise that people only complain when there are valid and palpable context to their points of contention is laughable...

We've had this argument before... MWO is no different that real life where the vocal minority are allowed to set the precedent while the silent majority are resigned to placate them lest they be labeled as crony lapdogs or agitators.

There are a lot of valid points that have been made be they pro or con in regards to PGI, their recent sweeping changes and direction of the game.

What I'm saying is when they are couched in meritless vitriol and idle threats they become impotent and petulant. Go play the other game...

Folks need to make a point, stand on their convictions and defend their ideals... Not "whine".

Which one? :P

The SILENT MAJORITY tm Brought you third person view. A thing that absolutely No One asked for (less than 10% approved PGI spending time on it).

PGI did it anyway. It sucked, and for a time introduced auto aim while in that view making gods out of ******* that couldn't figure out that their legs and torso could go in different directions....

They spent EVEN MORE VALUABLE TIME FIXING A FEATURE NO ONE ASKED FOR. Cap for emphasis on how utterly dumb this notion is...

Sort of like the mode voting feature. That should have simply been set to random. With all three modes getting equal percentages. Something that you could program in far less time than adding a new graphic UI element with an A or B choice hot button context menu.

.......3pV was never wanted, but it never made any one "auto-aim" gods. Not even sure what you are talking about on that.
