With the recent introduction of map voting looks cool, and semi works. But what would help make it seem more professional or cooler for the video game aspect. Vocally announcing the map and game mode when the voting is completed. Heck if you take a 15 second blink you would never notice the voting because there is no sound at all. So to help polish this aspect of the game I would suggest Duncan Fisher announcing the map and game mode.

I know there needs to be other fixes as well to the vote system, but this would be really cool and something needs to be done about the empty void.

Morgan Freeman. Just to calm the whiners. No one can be pissed when Morgan Freeman says something.

It should be randomized though.

They can allow voip to work in map voting so you can lobby for your favorite map/mode or gripe before the game even starts. :3

Adding an announcer like Duncan Fisher would make the game closer to Solaris (which it pretty much is right now).

We are only talking solo and group cue so yeah give it a solaris feel

They can actually make it more 'mission-like' by adding the portrait of an NPC with text and some voice to go along with it if it's for the sake of immersion. Dialogue would get repetitive though.

I'd prefer a grizzled war vet keying up the comms letting us know over a scratchy, static filled radio.
"Mechwarriors, we're dropping on Caustic Valley. Mission objective so to take all capture points (Conquest) and not die. Good luck."

Well Mystere I agree it could be eSport like if we go with straight up announcement like Solaris but some others had a suggestion of having it story line themed like the commander in training giving the announcement and objectives. That would make it more simulation/role play story feeling instead.

I just want something cool, I know it is small but this would be something small that many could get behind.
