Base Annihilation
For this concept in CW, the goal is simple. Defend your base, and destroy your opponents.
Each base would have a Health Score, with various targets consisting of a percentage of the base Health. Otherwise the base consists of two gates, a few extra buildings, and a surrounding wall.
Access Gate: This gate would have the word Access printed upon it. Mechs standing on a release pad upon either side cause the gate to open which will slowly start to close when the Mech moves off the pad.
A-60 Gate: This side or back gate would have the I.D. A-60 printed upon it, meaning that Mechs with a weight of 60 or More can open the gate by standing on a pad.
Generator A. 20% of Base health.
Generator B 20% of Base Health.
Gauss Cannon 20% of Base Health
2 Medium laser turrets protecting each gate 2% of base Health Each
6 Heavy Laser turrets (two of which are mounted on a main building) consisting of 2% of Base Health Each
8 Light Towers (such as those found on River City) consisting of 1% of Base Health
4 Fuel Tanks consisting of 4% of Base Health
You would drop in a match like normal, however the goal is to destroy...period.
Sample Map Idea. Plat City
Basically an island shaped like a Pork Chop, with the fatter end to the North East. In the semi Circle or where the island bends is a smaller island with a spheroid dropship for decoration. City structures cover the middle of the island with opposing bases upon the western and North Eastern tips of the island.

Sounds fun, like a wrap up of a failed diplomatic summit.

Destroy the base?
Sounds fun in theory..
In practice - would play exactly like every other CW match..
Right now, in most cw matches, all turrets and all gens are destroyed, so what this would do is essentially add a few more "destructibles", and that's it..
Not much new in that..
Instead, I suggest you do something radically different for a new CW game mode.. Make it take place on an open map with no gates or walls, and make the base objective a VIP mech..
So the mode would be something along the lines of "VIP Hunt" where the whole team must protect one of their own, which would be chosen at random at the beginning of the match..
(Then watch 11 people loose their minds when the VIP PUG rushes the enemy ranks alone, after beeing told to stay put
)
I'm sure many more ideas are already out..

To some extent, but in this you have two opposing bases. Right now, one team defends a base, one team attacks. In this new mode, each team has to worry about their base, and how to destroy the opposing base. If you do a base rush, you leave you'res vulnerable.
