This perfectly sums up myself and, I get the feeling it sums up a majority of the community as well.

I only tolerate MWO because it's MechWarrior. If it was some other franchise I didn't care about I would not have supported this the way I have.

I hope that this does not mean that MWO is considered "feature complete" and that PGI is going to move on to something else? I hope that we will at least get the promised CW3 before MWO is put into maintenance mode.

I'm a little surprised to see it so soon, but hey Christmas cash is a thing

Not sure how this will affect the PTS and re-balance initiatives, as I don't see them being polished enough to implement in their current form. Hitting new brand new Steam users with radical shift might not be the best idea, but I do concede that the more polished interface and Academy represent two of the biggest steps toward a broader Steam release.

All the best to the team as you prep for the launch, and here's looking forward to an influx of new players.

Chiming in my opinion that you guys just aren't ready.

Also, if you implement trading cards, do make sure that those of us who have purchased something before are eligible for them without having to spend additional funds on Steam.

I've recently returned to MWO after about a 6 month break and I will echo the sentiment here; the game is not ready for Steam.

I really have to laugh at this whole situation. Back in closed beta we warned you against bringing the game into open beta early and you did it anyway. It was a disaster and you even admitted as much. Now you're gonna take it to Steam when we're saying the same thing. Good luck.

New accounts start out at tier 4, almost tier 3 if you complete the training.

Well.... all I can say is good luck. Because MWO is going to need ALL the Luck to make it in the Steamiverse.

If it's still around in 6 months time, I might come back to the game and give it another try, but after more than $500 being sunk in this game, I'm tired of trying to justify the value. Going N.O.P.E from here on out.
