So I'm back doing CW because of the event. Anyway, SJR guy did far more damage and kills than me but I got the highest score (barely). What could have happened ??

Because he did it with one mech and you used 4.

-- the other way around.

you should have checked your player stats screen. you probably had scouting, spotting, countering ecm, and the other such awards you can get

The SJR guy played all 4 mechs in his dropdeck, so his match score was divided. You did less, but you did it in only 2 mechs, so your match score is higher.

I got like a 1700 match score yesterday because I got 2200+ damage but never died.

I used only my Warhawk in a match yesterday, and got a 949 match score. The fewer of your mechs you use, the higher the score you get.

Each mech you use in CW divides your score.

You used 2 mechs, thus you have half Match Score (of the original ~980) while the SJR guy used all 4 mechs, quarteting his score, originally ~1900+

Thanks for the explanation! ;)

So the SJR guy actually did far more and carried the team.

And before someone accusing me of hiding in the back..... Actually I and the SJR guy were always at the tip of the spear but I tried to keep my HBR functioning as long as possible while he was far more aggressive!

No not really. You did 1372 damage with two mechs and 30 assists, he managed to get 2884 damage with 4. I think you were the one carrying the team, because if the match lasted longer, you'd still have 3 mechs to fight with, while he'd have only one.

That has a particular merit but the match couldn't last longer, therefore his contribution was greater.

There isn't really a good reason for the number of mechs you use in CW to affect your match score. It's kind of a terrible mechanic and supports selfish and poor gameplay.

Yes that's a pretty silly way to calculate match score.

Cw score is all about how many mechs you use. When we had the last cw event I had a hard time with this because I use mechs up depending on how our team is doing and how I am doing. If I have extra mechs I will jump in the front.

Um.... the SJR dude smoked 18 mechs... OP did not carry.
