were there any changes to the clan quirks for the upcoming PTS? i only see the spreadsheet for IS?

clan quirk change spread sheet is coming monday.

Also the loss of a side torso with clan XL reduces their manoeuvrability and speed by 20% to make it more balanced with the IS.

oh and clan max range on lasers is only an additional 50-60% so Cer med-lasers max range is now a little over 600m instead of 810m.

I think that's all.

Just to clarify, Clan large size lasers were unaffected by the nerf, so TBR with 2 cLPL and Gauss, is still going to be pretty strong.

Russ said only minor changes to some of the top performers. I expect SCR, TBR, EBJ, HBR, and DWF to have some minor negative quirks, probably agility stuff.

i am just interested to see how the SMN will emerge..... assuming some bad ass MG quirks though

I'm glad I prefer my IS mechs because between the drastically lowered stats on the skill tree, these engine changes, and what will probably be either no quirks or negative quirks for most if not all Clan mechs I don't know why I would want to use them.

Looking at it now.

1. Arctic Cheetah lost its +10-15 leg armor buff.
2. Stormcrow pitch/yaw/turn rate quirks removed
3. maddog-C got a hefty +20 armor (L/R) arm buff. Otherwise the same.
4. hellbringer about the same minus some minor torso turn quirks.
5. timberwolf about the same again with some minor pitch/yaw quirks removed
6. Warhawk about the same with a minor ballistic cooldown quirk nerf (10% -> 5%)
7. Direwolf about the same. Again some minor turn rate quirks removed.


I guess the other clan mechs are the same as before because they aren't mentioned.

Yeah, basically some positive quirks removed on mechs that don't need them. Not bad.

If thats all they did thats ok with me. No sense on making huge changes on the clans until people can see if the Is changes made them too good/ did nothing

Poor summoner, that was my favorite mech in TT. It did not transfer well to mwo.

Conservative changes

I like it. Clams don't seem to need much tweaking IMO....

Poor Bummoner though. I still love it.

Just reaffirms what I said earlier. I can't see any reason to pilot most of Clan mechs(maybe any of them). I didn't like how most of them felt before these changes so I'm not sure how lowering the skill tree numbers by a large amount and adding the XL penalty is going to make them anymore appealing. Add in the heatsink changes that I was mostly fine with until they lowered the cap further without more dissipation during the last PTS round and I honestly don't see the point to further nerfs in particular when it effects all clan mechs instead of certain ones.
