Welcome back, XD.

The teamkill penalty is actually two fold:

1- A deduction of XP, C-Bills, and Matchscore.

2- Multiple KDs will actually red flag your account for moderation. Of course, if it's 10 kills over a year, that's nothing, but 10 TKs within a week, or two, then yeah, red flags.

I've been talking about the firing excercise in basic training - there are friendlies around, but opening fire on them or killing them only leads to return fire, respawning and having to power up your mech again, which, imho, is not enough of a disciplinatory action for a training excercise.

All I really wanted to emphasize was the fact that friendly fire will damage you and your team mates, so that new players wouldn't go in just wantonly firing everywhere in multiplayer.

For a reasonable person this would be sufficient.
For the others, no amount of virtual punishment would change their behaviour.

^^^

Agreed. There are games in which friendly fire has no negative impact on teammates (Most times in the Borderlands franchise's games, for instance). It is easy to become accustomed to that, and thus fire indiscriminately without regard to harming teammates. Therefore, it is good that the negative consequences of friendly fire are addressed here.

And yeah, some folks are just gonna do what they do.

I have been playing alot of matches and only saw 2 people engaging in friendly fire and kiling eachother, Iam surprised its a problem but any way to prevent it is good news.

About MWO evolution over the years. I only got here with Steam, but the reviews I got from 1-2 years ago were quite bad. MWO has come a long way in balance and graphical problems etc. The "backers"/fans have been, IMO, amazing in supporting the game.
I think the gameplay is complete, its fun and responsive. The graphs could use a little optimization, but what lacks to me is a single player, more work in the academy.
EDIT: Or new modes examples: Co-op agaisnt AI and a "constant battle" mode, with respawns, get in and out whenever we want. Would it work?

Understandably dev time goes toward more mechs because that makes more money to continue developing. I wish PGI had more funds, because I would like more MW content.

I dont love some cbills prices, or why some colors have to cost MC but I respect it. What I really dont like, and I say this here for feedback, please allow anyone to duel, 1vs1 with his friends... I thought this last patch had taken care of that with "test 1v1" maps but no, still need premium to set NO full teams. The argument is 1v1 costs the same as 12v12, guys, find a way, let it be hosted locally IDK. That is the only thing, even I, that love mwo, HATE.

About tiers, Iam almost tier 3, does tier 5 only play with tier 5, and 4 with 4? Am I about to only find only vgood players?

Oh, no problem there, each tier can only play with 2 tiers next to it, and tiers of PSR are a mix of skill level and playing time with a tendency to rise faster then to fall, so even tier 1 has many who could be described as unskilled, at least for that tier level , so tier 3 gets to play with all the tiers, preference on same tier, but as player poplation is not that large it will mix in a lot of tiers to get quick games.

back to the topic. PGI now that you have crates and keys...
dont you think you could use steam market? just like other games do like TF2? for cockpit items or something.

please work on loading times. login-> loading for 30 secs or more. end a game-> another loading... tf2 has a market and same features and its not always loading... the game is also crashing alot more recently, should we do a clean install? check game cache?

Team Fortress also has a different graphics engine; but it would be nice to have an interface with the Steam market. Once you've played enough games, post a topic on the Features Suggestion forum.

As for crashing; different people's systems react to the game differently. Some people report relatively frequent crashes - I've had perhaps a half dozen since I began the game. Click on the gears in the upper right corner of the launcher, then run the MWO repair tool. You can also verify the integrity of the game cache if you are using Steam (right-click game from the library list -> properties -> Local files tab -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache.)

Not quite. Tier 3 gets to play with tiers 2 through 4 (also, for clarity, a match must be building for at least two minutes before spreading begins.) The confusion comes from the term "spread," coupled with the inability of some people to listen well. The mistake got into the body of common wisdom, and keeps cropping up from time to time - like the mistaken belief that Heat Sinks placed into the extra slots of 275+ rated engines are also true doubles. However, from This Interview with Russ on the subject, it's clear that the spread of two tiers being talked about are the two tiers on either side of the tier in question. =)
