Mycrus: "your team mates would not have jeered at you if"

Red team jeered, not my team. My team thought it was funny that Red was so incompetent

"Most everybody knows that im a troll -"

Is that what you think? Because you're not very good at it. All you've done here is beclown yourself.

x/10 eh? How edgey...

So you are upset that red team got mad and blue team supported you...

Bwahahahhahahhahahhahahahhaha...

Making the enemy upset IS the reason why you play PvP...

if you didn't have to wait until the end of the match to get all your rewards this would be a non issue :)

I see nothing wrong with what the OP did.. some people are just morons...

<sigh> This is so sad. At first I thought you were just some teenage punk without a Father in his life.

But you are in your mid-30s, can't comprehend basic writing, and your trolling is subpar.

I think I'll just regard you as a crippled kid and ignore you, so I don't feel guilty later. GG Close.

Ahh, stop it now... your original story is missing some details...:) At least reading the op I thought it was people from both sides egging you on instead of just the enemy team. Still, good story, and with that tidbit of info enjoy it even more.

At 10:20 I was only looking to survive.
I was going to run back to the turrets, but realized I was going to be cut off. So reverse course and hide... till I spot an opportunity.

See how well I didn't participate or griefed the team. You'd be full of it. Stay for the twist ending for the whole match is good watching

Playing smart is not griefing.

Kind of my point...people keep picking Skirmish, because it's mental midget combat ezmode (tactics and objectives seem to intimidate too many players) and thus are creating their own problem.

If they'd man up and try something beside skirmish they might actually have a way to counter their own problem.

Lovely irony, yes?

The reason it's "ezmode" is that teamwork is something that is vanishingly rare in the public queue. Playing any other mode means that if I play the "mode" (Conquest or Assault) I have to choose between supporting the murderball or trying for cap victories - and getting yelled at the whole time because I've been capping. Or worse, defending the base in Assault against the light cap and getting zero help because the murderball is all.

I have not once voted for Skirmish, but I should. Because anything else is pure team frustration. In skirmish, I don't have to care whether my team is licking windows.

Yer new here... aren't you? ;)

Gotta worry who's driving short buses on the field in every mode.

Interesting how people paint others with their own colors. Maybe that's why you play PvP, but others have, just maybe, perhaps, different motivations. That comment paints you into a kind of unpleasant corner, by most people's lights.

Be self-satisfied (and you will be because of who you are) with your superior position. Because your uber reputation is enjoyed by...nobody but you.

My only wish would be for Skirmish match modes to have a 25 or even 30 minute limit, instead of the current 15.

Also OP, nevermind those who request a suicide. Rather report them for requesting something that's against the game rules ;)

Nope.

Heck if you pass the 3 minute mark without contact, some of them start taunting in chat...

Just becasue you died does not mean you lose any rewards you have earned, yet not collected. Assists come to mind. Only if you DC after death do you forfeit any possible rewards. If your buddy(s) kill 3 more Mechs that you have hit previously, you get those "assist" rewards at Match end. I have seen many Kill assist bonuses pop up after death, you just have to be patient. ;)

The game cannot calculate the proper rewards until the Match is actually over. if you DC, then it is a wash...

And I am counting on that. Because after 3 more minutes after that, their impatience becomes their undoing. <maniacal   >

Sometimes it pays to shutdown.

I was playing a match on tourmaline desert and there was a power surge right when the match started. It took about 5 minutes to get back up and running; then about another 3 to launch the client, etc... and get back into the game. If figured I was a dead. Well I wasn't. My King Crab hadn't been touched. It was me in a 100% King Crab and three opponents left. Well I know that map pretty well and went over to my favorite hiding spot by the crashed ship and powered down. That is when my team started ragging, screaming at me through VOIP, etc...well their screams were on deaf ears, because I don't play the game with sound enabled and I tend not to pay attention to chat when it becomes a me v 3 game. I just focused on the match and my plan. Here is where info warfare became important. I would power up, survey the area, and then power back down. I knew where the invisible walls were and those sections of terrain where a Gauss shot would hit my mech but not actually do any damage (this no longer exists after this summers patches.) Well there were about 4 minutes left in the game and I had spent about 2 powered down previously. My team was extremely angry and continued to rail against me. Eventually they did what I expected and informed the enemy team of my location. (Still no idea how that is possible, but they did and told me they did.) Well my very angry teammates had just made my day. First a Centurion walked by, then a Hunchback, and then another Hunchback. They walked right past me. I powered up and hit them with my dual AC/20's one after the other. I took each one down in a row and walked away with only taking 2% damage. The Centurion and one of the Hunchbacks were purely ballistic and missile load-outs and had no ammo left. The other Hunchback was a Gridiron and was also out of ammo. I am assuming they were all out of ammo because none of them fired a shot at me, other then the grid iron with a medium laser. Long story short; I won the match for my team with over a minute to spare. Sometimes powering down and getting the drop on the enemy is the right way to go, when you don't know what the enemy is left with. It isn't always the right tactic, but it is a tactic and should be respected.

p.s. I do not condone running off into the corner, powering down, and making the enemy come find you to keep your k/d ratio up. Unless you are in a Vindicator, because well...it is a vindicator and you didn't stand a chance anyway.

I agree.

But, at the same time, I will not disapprove if you run off into the corner and power down, keep running and hiding, or whatever it is you think you have to do to make the enemy come and find you and force them to earn that last kill. I am assuming of course that you did participate in the fight but decided to retire from battle. I also am not automatically assuming that you are actually just trying to preserve your KDR. Finally, you do have a right to not get down on your knees and offer yourself up for execution.

No, I thought it was only points for assists that you lose, and only for those killed after you have DCed....?
