I am just wondering why the 30 ton KitFox is larger than the 35 Ton Arctic Cheetah.

Look at the models. The Kit Fox is bigger.

Why?

The KitFox can only mount 4 lasers, but only 3 if you want ECM. Why did someone model the Arctic Cheetah to be smaller, yet have 5 more tons + more hardpoints?

How does this balance-out?

Because they can

Or because the KitFox looks much better.

You can also ask why the Locust is bigger as the Spider - or the Jenner bigger as the Wolfhount - Nova as the Stormcrow ....Griffin has the size of the Zeus.... should i continue?

Because it's PGI, and we're STILL waiting for any word on the rescaling that they promised so long ago.

Rescaled champion/hero mechs will be offered for cash money for Christmas.

For MC a month later.

For C-bills two months later.

Nerfed into the ground three months later at the next rebalance.

Say, have you heard about our new new new mech pack?!

The Kit Fox used the Adder's legs in the fluff text, which compelled PGI to copy-paste the Adder's basic skeleton and put a different skin over it and call it a Kit Fox. And since the Adder itself is already fairly big for a light...That is why the Fox is oversized.

This is also why the Mad Dog is as big as a Mad Cat, why the Warhawk is as big as the Dire Wolf, and why the Gargoyle is as big as the Executioner.

I remember someone was complaining about mech sizes once, and had a picture of various Clan mechs with their heights listed. There was plenty of crazy canon sizes as well- I remember the Clans had a 20 ton mech that was a meter taller than the Stormcrow for instance.

Cute Fox is cute and "jolly". What I mean by jolly is large and in charge... minus the "in charge".

Welcome to MWO~!

Where rulers dont exist, Scale is unnecessary and everything is a just a medium mech with a different skin on it.

Minimally viable product also has minimal effort put in most the time...
