2) I have a three year old Radeon 6970 that has almost 10 times (well 8) the basic benchmark performance of this card. (3483)
http://www.videocard...n+HD+6970&id=84
3) Options (many more are possible):
http://www.videocard...h_end_gpus.html
Radeon R7 260X ($114.99) (3043) (2Gb)
http://www.newegg.co...1&leaderboard=1
Radeon HD7770 ($94.99) (2154) (1Gb)
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814127687
Radeon HD6970 ($99.99) (3483) (2Gb)
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814131578
GT 740 ($94.99) (1584) (2Gb)
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814487044
GTX 650 Ti (refurbished) ($89.99) (2703) (1Gb)

It was hard to find good Nvidia cards in this price range ... the AMD cards seemed to give better performace/price. Keep in mind that some of these are older cards .. particularly the GTX 650 Ti and Radeon HD6970. I know the 6970 does DX11 ... not sure about DX12 or other APIs for the other cards.
If you go to the ~$100 to $200 range .. the best Nvidia choice (just by sorting on Newegg) looks like a GTX 750 Ti 2Gb for about $150ish (3671) while the best AMD choice looks to be the R9 270X 2Gb for about $180ish (4509) .. the R9 270 seems to run about $10.00 cheaper.
Best options are probably the HD6970 for an older card at lower price with better performance or the R7 260X for $115 for a newer card. ANY of the cards here are so much better than the GT 620 that it isn't even amusing.
Whatever video card you decide on, you will need to make sure that the computer has the dedicated power connections for the video card and a sufficiently large power supply to drive it (the specs in the link list a 700W supply that should be sufficient). The specification list also says "1 x PCI-e x16 (No Available)" ... I hope this is because the slot is already in use as opposed to the machine not having one ... but I would check.
There is also a hardware support forum for MWO where you might get more replies. I would get a card with a minimum 2Gb of RAM and use the linked chart as a starting point for performance keeping in mind that manufacturers can clock the cards differently or offer other features like ports that might be useful.

In the $100 range, I think you're better off going with AMD. The 260x pretty darn good for that price.

@ Mawai (or anybody else who is computer savvy) of all the 2gig cards you recommended, how do you tell which is the best for the buck? I'm trying to compare the Radeon HD6970 ($99.99) (3483) (2Gb) with the GT 740 ($94.99) (1584) (2Gb) But I cannot tell which is the better buy and which one will for sure work in my comp.
thankyou for your help. it's very appreciated.

Radeon 6970 benchmark http://www.videocard...=Radeon+HD+6970
Personally, I'd go for the 6970. They are good cards and that's an amazing price. I'd jump on it while you still can.
You've already got a 700w power supply so you should be ready to go!

The numbers I included in the listing are the benchmark numbers ... HD6970 is 3483 (3D Mark or something like that) and the GT 740 is 1584 so the Radeon HD6970 is about twice the performance of the GT 740. Just check the benchmark website I linked.
There are lots of other benchmarks you can look at (this number is based on only one so isn't good for detailed comparisons) but this at least gives a rough starting point for comparing two cards quickly.
Your GT 620 is 434 just to make it clear how much lower it is than all the other cards I mentioned ... which is why its performance in MWO could be quite poor.

For $100-120 you can often get Radeon 7850s and GTX 650 Ti Boost which only needs 1 6-pin PCI-E connector. Marketing a GT 620 based box as a gaming machine is simply deceptive!
Take a look at this 6970 pic: http://images10.newe...-150-517-15.jpg
Do you have those connectors? If not, cancel your order.

You need to open up the computer, look at the wires coming out of your power supply and yes look for one 3x2 plug and one 4x2 plug.
