I managed to frequent Frozen City quite often last night, but have been experiencing a wider assortment of maps lately. I would like to add this as positive feedback for the Voting Weight System. +1 because that added multiplier definitely helped break up the chances of having the same two maps being played over and over and over again like before the Voting System was adjusted.

Voting is the absolute worst upgrade ive ever seen half of the posts that say they like it sound like they work for pgi and are trying to convince us its a good thing. Im watching guys pick the worst maps on purpose just so they can get the same map over and over with a few of there buddies. It was way better the other way now im forced to play in modes I cant stand and I have to play on maps over and over again. You are whacked in the head if you think this is acceptable. Put it back and let us choose what we play. This voting crap makes everyone violent and pissy to play with definitely not having fun

just played another game of Assault (finally get a mode i like)
oh wait, my team dosnt understand the concept of a base!
we lose again.

As the OP hasn't replied to anyone i'm guessing he was trolling? I cannot for the life of me think why anyone would think this system is better than what we started with..

i.e...drop down mode selector and then when queueing- a random mode(based on what you have selected) and random map.

I dont mind what map i play - it's the forced mode thing that gets me peeved.
I can't stand Conquest and despise playing it.
I've been in Conquest games where my whole team isn't bothering with capping....and yet some of them must have voted for it...even though i never vote conquest. I think it's because of the 'Vote Weighting Mini-Game' they choose Conquest hoping to get +1 to their mini-game points...

It's bad for all sides of view.
1, Players who want to only play Conquest.
2, Players who want to only play Conquest/Assault.
3, Players who want to only play Skirmish/Assault.
4, Players who want to only play Skirmish.
(i cant imagine anyone wanting to play Skirmish AND Conquest...but i could be wrong..).

This vote weighting system(and mode voting as a whole) basically screws EVERYONE over.

Answer?:
Bring back the drop down 'Mode Selector'.
Leave map voting as is....or...go back to random maps.(personally i dont mind either).

What do other people think?

i myself only want conquest and assault as they both have objectives to work for. id rather not see those players who cannot or will not cap a base or objective in those modes as skirmishing defeats the purpose of objectives. If i wanted mindless death matching id buy call of duty BO3 to be blunt, and i cannot stand call of duty.

Make the other modes distinct and worth playing and I'll consider playing them. Until then, stop force feeding me those modes and calling it "choice".

Tuis: thats the fun part didnt you know? forcing you into THINKING you have some sort of CHOICE! The power to choose was removed in a beautiful stroke: lets add voting and then penalize people for thinking they dont have to play that mode when they leave that mode! the steamers will yell about it too, be patience, until then, enjoy the illusion, its what magicians get paid for right?

The game is indeed devolving into Skirmish only.. The only tactic being stay together and focus fire - caps are forgotten. I have to beg people to do things in the game that used to be second nature to everyone playing (at least those that switched off skirmish in the mode menu, like me.)

It is COD style warfare now, not so much tactical.

Because they are Skirmish players who are forced to play Assault. I noticed this too when this bad idea, voting, came into play. At first, I didn't understand why my team was giving up the base in almost every match of Assault. If I was running a fast mech, I'd try to go back to base, just to run back with no support to my death. If I had a slow mech and I was too far away, all I could do was stand there and watch the cap meter tick down to another loss. The Conquest players are feeling it too, maybe even more. Thanks to the voting system, the 3 modes are now Skirmish, Skirm-Assault, and Skirm-Conquest. And vote weighting has only made it worse. I don't blame the Skirmish players, I think we all know who is to blame (Russ, Paul) for the current state of the game.

PGI, is this a better game with forcing us to play modes we hate? We are trying to tell you, WE ARE NOT HAVING FUN with this voting system in control! Please listen to you customers (before it's too late!) and put it back the way it was. The wait time was not a big deal. Who cares if the drops are a little faster. What's the point if we are not having fun?
