No I am not talking about replacing those boring Atlas hand with Jazz hands.

Posted Image

What I am talking about is are we going to be able to transfer our founders Mechs to other players once the games market is all up and running? And how would that play out?

Furthermore are we going to be able to sell variants of certain Mechs to other players in a open market situation?

The reason I ask is what if I find myself not liking a certain founders Mech *cough* *Jenner* *cough* And want to make extra room in my hanger for different mechs... is the only way to get rid of it to sell it to a built in market place where it just disappears into the ether or will it go to a loving home?

At this point they do not ever intend to implement player-to-player trades.

I find this sad given that it would add to the tangibility of the mechs... :D

I read somewhere that the Founder Mechs have there own Mechbay slot, so the next question would be, do you keep the slot if you sell the mech.

What I'd like to know is will it be possible to transfer the c-bill bonus to another mech. Seems a shame to have to pilot a mech you don't like just for the bonus, and there's some nice mechs coming out later.

I believe it was stated at one point that you can't actually sell your Founders mechs at all. They just sit there forever in their free inventory slots...

The extra hangars are for the Founder 'Mechs only, as far as I understand it. They will not be able to be sold either, I believe.

If there aren't any player-to-player trades, there shouldn't be as much black market, real-world trading, or third-world sweatshopping. So I agree with how they're setting it up.

So it looks like you are stuck with the old Jenner rusting in its bay.

True but I would envision that they just make the market so you cannot set the price on the mechs and just make it so the computer generates the price based on the BV...

Of course I guess that would be a lot of extra work to implement for very little gain...

Yeah, as much fun as player-to-player economies can be they invite the scum of the earth: chat spammers, hackers, and exploiters. Without that, things will be much more secure for everyone.

I kinda feel the same. However I recognize why they're doing it. In order to have a player driven economy where mechs can be traded and sold, they'd need to limit those resources. Now take into account the WIDELY varying mech preferences of the community and well, a very LARGE portion of the community would be discontent. If they then put those chasis/variants on the 4actualCash market, there'd be even more accusations of money grubbing and pay2win.

Basically it's a big mess they didn't want to futz with.

You got those founder mechs for life! Just like the VD, you could give them to someone else (by purchasing them a package) but you'll always be stuck with your own. I see no reason why they'd allow for moving the bonus to another mech either. Would make more sense to make more mechs with bonus available later. But it'd be cool if they did I suppose

I would really appreciate it, if you are going to put jazz hands on an atlas, at least put them on the right side. It's really an insult to all of us jazz-handers...

In answer to your question no. They said they do not want player to player transaction at this point in time.

As for selling your founders mech. You might be able to sell the weapons back to the "store" or use them on another mech but I doubt you will be able to ever get rid of the founders mechs or sell them. They are a symbol to "founders" and the type of founder you are. Also, If you could get rid of them then people would sell them for real money. I think PGI wants to make money off the players not have players make money off players.

As for the picture. You messed up the hands. You have the left hand on the right side and the right hand on the left side. Just saying.

I would also think it's safe to say that if a founders mech comes with a free bay then if you get rid of a founders mech the bay goes with the mech just as it came with the mech.
