UM-R63 - good
This variant is no better than live nor any worse. I don't mind the changes.
UM-R60 - good
Has better survivability than the UM-R63, but weaker offensive quirks. Eh, I'm okay with this. At least it has better quirks than it had before.
UM-R60L - bad
Really disappointed that we lose the Energy Heat Gen and arm structure bonuses. Those are what makes this variant good. I'd change the Laser Duration quirk back into a Heat Gen quirk, because this mech suffers from not getting all ten TrueDubs in the engine and as an energy boat it is really quite fun to play and surprisingly viable.

I can't believe they felt the need to nerf some values on this mech! Was the average number of people using it becoming too close to 1?
The 63 is suffering badly here, as it did already. Putting large caliber ballistic quirks on a mech that can't viably use them in the public queues is ridiculous. Removing heat quirks from others is going to make things more difficult, too.
This mech needs MG quirks, laser duration and energy heat gen and arm armour quirks to be usable, and we're only getting duration in quite small amounts.

I'm fine with the weapon quirks. If anything, they should get even stronger ballistic quirks- it's what they were built for, and that should be their specialty. For the moment, Urbies are the only IS light that can run ballistics on every single variant, and it would be a shame to lose that uniqueness by dropping their ballistic quirks in favor of samey-samey laservomit buffs like nearly everything else on the field under 40 tons got. Different is good. Different is great. We need more of the Urbie's particular brand of strangeness. Balancing it for viability is hard because of how strong lasers are on lighter 'Mechs, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be attempted, because- IMO- the overwhelming prevalence of light laservomit is one of the factors (apart from heavies and mediums just being easier to drive) that keeps the light queue as small as it normally is. There just aren't enough viable alternatives to keep the class interesting for anyone who isn't willing to accept playing on Ultimate Nightmare Pain Scourge Mode to get some loadout variety.
I'm not, however, fine with the torso twist rate. It sucks eggs.
The skill tree nerfs have positively killed by ability to make good use of the Urbie's 360-degree twist, even with a max or near-max engine. Speed is kind of... meh, whatever; it's an Urbie after all... but these things have exactly one advantage over everything else on the field, and that's their glorious twist range. Without it, they're at the mercy of every other light and most of the mediums besides, which relegates a 'Mech traditionally focused to the point of excess on in-your-face-close urban brawling to... sniping and hiding under the assaults' skirts until it's party time.
