[Wildstreak]

There are some Mechs that need Champion variants going back to when the game was started. I have decided to narrow down to those already having Hero Mechs so adding Champions would allow the creation of Bundles to sell in game. (Shameless plug, still need Thunderbolt & Wolverine PGI!)

Post your ideas for builds to support this.

Mechs to choose from:
Locust
Commando
Vindicator
Awesome
Battlemaster

For the Awesome, the 8Q is the classic but using 3+ PPCs gives Ghost Heat and any build has to be new player friendly. The 8R Brawler, Quad LRM boat and this new thing I see with 2LL, 2LRM all require some skill and knowledge of use plus the last is actually my 8T build. So for simplicity, I am listing my 8V build, TAG for the lone LRM and allies Missiles, 3LL with no GH for any range, max engine and near max armor values.

For the Locust, this 3S build I chose for heat management, has 2 weapon systems, max speed, armor and even a AMS.

If it has a hero variant (IS), then it it needs a champion as well, then they can be trial mechs and have mastery packs.

It's funny, we posted threads on this within minutes of each other.

It's an idea whose time has come!

Since they're moving to a voting system for the champs now, we just need them to open up the voting threads in the champion build forums and let us run amok making builds.

I think the LCT-1E SPL build would make a great Champion. Locusts are HardMode no matter what you're trying to do. May as well embrace its "Ultimate Weapon."

Commies: 1D with 2SRM4 (2t), 2ML, XL225, and some armor stripping. Can drop a half ton of ammo to re-armor something. High risk, maximum reward for the chassis. Alternate: LL+2ML on 1B, or maybe 3MPL with a big engine.

AWS-8Q, but with quad PPCs. Go bold, or go home, IMO.

BLR, can't help with. I've got no feel for it.

Vindy ... Probably the 1AA with 2PPC and the head ML. May as well embrace the quirks.
