I miss a little the "punch" on the balistic weapons. In Mw4 i build a 3x ac10 mech (daishi i think) and was able to bring light and medium mechs with alpha strike to fall (not destroyed)
Would be nice if we are able to bring a jenner to fall with a ac20 hit. (is hard enough to hit this fast thing with a ac20) or bigger things if more mechs fire balistics on one target in short time.
What the community think?

If the lights got knocked over from every ballistic hit from an ac20 (or even an 'every now and then' knockdown) it'd be very disheartening to pilot lights at all. They'd have a huge disadvantage, and all you'd see in MWO is huge slugfests.

Surly it should be well balanced and maybe u need more hits of a heavy balistic to bring him down like i did with the 3 x ac 10 in mw4. And yea we are not able to build such a "slugmachine" with the current mechs. I think it would be nice to see a mech fall if he realy get some heavy hits in 1 or 2 secs. But maybe u are also right that this will dmg the gameplay of the current lightmechusers. I think it is realy hard to balancing such a feature.

I'd shure like to see it happens.
And it's quite realistic (supposing the real physics in the game world). The smaller the mech, the easier the fall.
If well ballanced, I believe it would be nice to see this in game.

We have already the punch in the cockpit view.
The fall feature can look like this : first hit - screen goes in the punch direction , second hit 0.2 sec later - screen try to go back but the second punch push him more in the punch direction , third hit after 0.2 sec - screen tryed again to go back but the third hit bring the mech out of balance and he fall.
How fast the torso can move back in position and how many the punch push him are dependent on the mechs wight and engine power.
Little explanation why : Wight give u resistenz from pushes and engines pretend how fast the mech are able to go back in stable position.
And not to forget which parts are hitted. All wight are on the feet so they are more stable but letz take leverage of the highest point of a mech, this should be bring the mech in some trouble with balancing while hitting with heavy balistics.
This "punch" feature should only be for heavy balistics, so all under ac10 shouldnt able to bring a mech to fall + i think it needs teamwork to bring enough punch in such a short time on a mech.
(maybe if a full team with a summe of 10xac5 hit the target simultan are able to bring a mech to fall also)
