Curious which quirks did the thor get? Anything new that might make it a little more viable?

Best thing to make the summoner finally to a dangerous mech would be a 4th Variant without any jump jets!
Giving owners the possibility chose jump capacitiy by different leg-omnipods!
Would be soooo great!! But i guess it will never happen.
Another option to finally make a viable summoner would be a new summoner champion mech (f.E. the one of Joanna Jade Falcon, with which she killed the black widow!) with better hardpoints and maybe just 2/3 jump jets (3/2 more tons for weapons)

Summoner needs ES structure. Forget about lore, we don't need to wait for Summoner II for ES. With that one stroke Summoner will become much more viable.

The other part that holds Summoner back is the hoverjet situation. It's supposed to be like a rocket that can jump 150m.

Finally, with changes to heat and the disappearance of the laser meta, Summoner can take its rightful place as a premier striker role 'Mech.
