Suggestion - when your mech is destroyed and falling, you stay for a some time in 1st person view, not switching to 3rd person view instantly.
Should increase immersion significantly.

Not necessarily to paint damaged cockpit, just turn off all lights and UI.
Though some collisions with ground/objects are downside. But i think that feeling, when you falling and seeing the sky is worth it.

Really? You need immersion when your 'Mech is dead?

No, they shouldn't waste valuable dev time on this.

Why not? As for me, i always felt this on-death switch from 1PV to 3PV is too sudden, it pulls me out too fast.
I think it is fun to stay in 1PV for some time after death, to feel how you lost control over your 'mech, and falling down (or even to look around if 'mech didn't died because of "headshot"). It makes strong impression on player (at least on me, from various flight sims and other games like Mount&Blade, Chivalry, etc.) If we can feel start of the the battle (dropship, power on), why we shouldn't feel how battle ends if 'mech is destroyed?

But i agree, this feature should not be overcomplicated for development. So i suggested to keep it simple - no broken cockpit glass (keeping in mind it is toggleable anyway), nothing new. Just turn off UI, make red lighting (which we already have) constant, and just delay 3PV switch.
