I'l thinking buy the Vets pack when i get off work, then next pay check upgrade to Elite then Legendary. Over 3 weeks.
However. If i spend the $30 today, do i pay $30 difference get the Elite and loose the vet? or do you need to buy the Elite at full price and keep the Vet?

I'm hoping its more like this.
$30 today, $30 next week, $60 last week. Each payment is the difference of the package upgrade. The package upgraded from drops off the available list as if i bough the Vet or Founders strait out.

You are correct.
You only pay the diference between packs when upgrading.

I am probably doing the same thing. My friend graciously bought me vet status because I am that pitiful apparently. My next step is elite, but another $60 investment after that would be out of my price range sadly.

Love to upgrade to Legendary. More mechs to start out with is win win imo. Free to play makes it even more tempting to do this as well.
