Since I was one of the gripers which had so much comment on the last patch I feel obligated to give some personal feedback on this patch:
  • I like the new rewardboost. Good step in the way to get players to play different modes I guess. I would still consider achievements though.
  • Diverisity does seem to have gone up some what. I even played a qonquest match when I gave the last patch a couple of rounds. But the new system is still a compromise and therefore still a consesion for players like me.
  • As some already have stated, pre-launch I'm staring at some percentages jumping franticly between maps and modes. It looks like some sort of wacky mini game and for me it works as a bit of a mood killer. It dulls down my game experience as there is no more feeling of being a soldier that does not know where he has to fight next. I prefer more simulater and less cod.
  • Therefore, if you ask me, pre-game voting is a path best abandond.
  • Since the last patch I experience mid-game freezes. The entire game just freezes up and after a couple of seconds it unfreezes again. Alt tab gives a black screen and when I manage to close the game my desktop icons are all over the place. Don't know what causes it, never had it before and for me a game braking experience so I stopped playing for now.

PGI, I must say I had a lot of trust in the way you develop this game. I was a silent and content player. Didn't feel the need to speak out. But since the last two patches I'm having a bit of a crisis of faith. I'm not gone yet and I'll keep track of what's happening. But neither do I feel like playing right now and I'm considering asking for a refund for the marauder/warhammer packs I bought.

the voting is a poison that makes you think what map you are on and what mode you are in are your choice. what is really going on is:

1. you are being dragged into what ever it is the masses want map AND mode wise regardless of what your particular choice may be. Skirmish and cold maps seem to rule the day.

2. gone are the days when if you found yourself in a mode you dislike and you could take a measure to rid yourself of that mode, now, that choice is gone replaced by a threat of permanent banning if you do not play once that match has begun.

I am so sorry to say this, but, this is the start of being jack booted. I am sorry but as customers paying or not, we have rights, and one fundamental right is the right to choose what we do with our time in this game. No developer and I mean NO developer and I really do not care if they are from Square-Enix or Microsoft or Squad or PGI has the right to FORCE you into a particular set up. The option to do as you will MUST be there, in Assassins Creed you are given cart blanch to run around and pick off quests how ever you will. Do you want to pick off side quests first to gain better gear to make the main quests a bit easier? You can do that! Heck, myself, I am only in sequence 4 of Syndicate and I am lvl 10 on both Jake and Evie.

In say Kerbal Space Program, you are free to build what ever it is you want to get the job done. Say you are in the career mode and you have a contract to pick up a stranded kerbal around Jool. You can build as big a rocket with as many parts and stages as your computer can handle to go grab that stranded kerbal, OR you can build as slim a design with in tight constraints and BOTH ways are fine! Heck you can mod the snot out of that game and go that way! doesnt matter the CHOICE is YOURS.

Here? Say you LOVE Skirmish, and you try for a match and end up on Caustic Valley in Assault. What to do? Well, prior to voting, you could DC out or suicide or be a statue with no fear of reprisal aside from your team yelling at you if you didnt DC. Now? Well, quit enough or die too fast enough and you risk being tossed out of this game forever. What choice is that? its NOT. It is an illusion, and a pretty sad one at that.

didnt read all that? this simple then oh hasty one: voting is a poison that is rotting this game.
