Steam Install

So, my mwo is on steam already as a shortcut. With the oficial release, are we going to need to re-install/download the whole thing again so the game is inside the steam folders?

I doubt it, the game will still function without Steam. They are just adding it to that platform to attract new players from Steam's large audience.

Only for those new and who switch to steam. Those using the standalone client will not appear in the player count.

ow, I know it will still work as stand alone, but to use the steam overlay, achievments and stuff, I was wondering if steam can import the whole thing to its library

MWO as an external steam game will still work. If they do steam achievements and such you will probably have to install it over steam.
