I'm not sure what forum I should post this on as support hasn't responded in several weeks.

My issue is as follows. I pledged 7 days to Jade falcons only to find that it had pledged me for lifetime. I'm not sure how that happens/ed but I'm 100% sure I didn't initiate it.

Mine showed that, but when I went to break contract it charged me for 23 days. Probably a visial bug. Go to break contract and see what you have left.
