Before I go to the main point, gotta say I'm disgusted by how you have lied to us all about the PTS. The PTS iterations were going to be AS MANY AS NECESSARY until we all agreed on the status quo of balancing, you said it quite clearly. You made a measly 4 PTS and then rush things for Steam. We are NOT all on the same page about the balance changes.

Now, you are going ahead with the terrible skill tree nerfs, which is something not everyone agrees on. And the sad part is, you are again showing signs of not being quite sure what to do with the direction of your own game. Time to kill is too short, so you try to make it longer while at the same time you take away our ability to spread damage by torso twisting? How are we supposed to be alive longer when everyone one-shoots you with their MedLas boats and now we must try to spread it at trial mech speed?
On top of that all, and I already said this, you are killing the one and only reason to grind several variants. You NEED us to grind; you need people playing a lot of time so your paying customers have opponents. You seem to think that steam players are the messiah reincarnated but in 4 months when 90% of those players are gone, you will be having the same issues with population that you have now; and less grinding is only going to be exacerbating those problems.

Well, after steam launch they can always increase the skill tree bonuses , or replace them, and/or make the basic bonuses larger while the elite bonuses smaller ( 2/3 and 1/3 ) .

So, yeah, stick with it , as all things it's not set in stone... and they said no cool shot and 3P view...

I hope you are right. There are precedents of them changing their minds halfway thru, but I think it'd be simpler if they didn't touch it in the first place.

I suppose the speed nerf is because of the horrible hitreg. I can't find any other explanation for it.

The speed nerf hits, however, the least played class the most: the light mechs. Their TTK will be even lower. Speed was the only thing that kept them alive (not every light has the hitboxes of an ACH or FS).

That being said: I will test all my light mechs during next week. So far it seems the Huginn is dead. The SRM cd nerf was too severe in combination with the speed nerf...forget it. If the light mechs are no fun anymore after this debacle, I will for sure demand a refund for my Jenner IIC pack.
