and the other lights follow me. And then the mediums tag along behind them. And then the heavies and assaults go "look at all the blue doritos going that way, let's go there!"

Haha would be nice but most of the time i go back to support assaults, the heavies just continue running away and you're left with a fools errand.
Also had plenty of the hiding teams today as well. Had one team where 3 assaults were hiding behind a rock. 2 Zeuses + a Dire. A single srm locust poke the corner and they all turn around and start running away. I was just left scratching my head.
Yeah. Made the mistake of PUGging in CW last night. All my teams tried to win Invasions that way (tried both Clan and IS).
Needless to say it did not go well, and after 4 matches of my team not even breaking double digit kills, I went and did a Dr Who mini marathon, instead.
Doubly frustrating, since in the late morning/early afternoon yesterday, I PUG'd CW and had 4 good matches, 2 wins, 2 losses. I can only assume that earlier was more Euros, and that the Germans, in particular, seem to take their gaming a little more seriously, or simply have more...er.. manliness... than the US crowd.
Almost enough to make me stop making fun of them when they visit mexico with their pasty white legs, calf socks and sandals.
naw... I'm still going to make fun of them.

You're one of those rambo people then?
I remember the time a light said something like that and then, because we were going in the same general direction turned back and started shooting at my feet! Because I was violating his personal space or something.
Apparently people don't realize that, first, it's a team game, not the now-I-do-whatever-the-hell-I-want game and, second, there are only so many direction a group can move. So unless you're headed straight to the edge of the map to suicide chances are that your path simply coincides with where everyone else is going.
But, of course, it's hard to think of yourself not being the center of the universe, I understand.

Nice discrepancy between the ACH and everything else.
Yup, ACH ain't remotely broken, nothing to see here, move along........
Oh, and before you decide I'm attacking your "epeen", I could care less about that. Just amazes me the stats jump I see in most peoples states between the ACH and the next best Light Mech.
A few people, like Adiuvo are probably pretty close, but most I have seen sport a similar huge gap in stats.

Right. Feel free to ignore my point and boast about your mad skillz in piloting ACH instead.
P.S. There is a joke about "standing in the light" somewhere in here, but I am too lazy to figure it out.

Scouting ≠ babysitting.
Nascar can work if your whole team is on board and fast enough for it. It's nothing more than a deathball. But yeah, Caustic + Pugs = map full of lobotomized sheep.
Assaults should be right in the center of the heavies and mediums for protection. Lights really need freedom to go do their light thing. And if they're good pilots, they'll know when to harass, look for lone targets, and when to group up.

Not to be a jerk but, well, don't brag about stats until you can hold about a 3.0 to 3.0+ KDR in the PUG queue.
OH, almost forgot... _and_ 500+ average damage a drop in the chassis you regularly use. Damn I'm being half-arsed today... and lastly, a 1.3 or greater win/loss ratio. Gotta be credit to team, carry team and get those other stats up so you know what you do... matters.

Absolutely. He only had like 68 drops in the cheater which is hardly enough to establish whether you're doing well or not. You need around 200 - 250+ drops to get anything meaningful.
I don't have any cheetahs... I probably should buy them with the whole 2x thing.

But if you mention your 2+ W/L on a mech you're a worthless, Tier 1 elitist, try hard that represents everything wrong with this game and the world.
So get your bragging done while you're Tier 2 or under.

Well, they are the "Light Lord" Mech now. FS9 still ain't bad, but no clan XL, no ECM, etc, it 's noticeable. I got about 100 matches in my ACHs and mothballed em. Too easy. And I am a BAD light mech pilot. But I could generally run in and out of murderballs at will. FS9s largely still can, too, but I'd rate them at about 2/3 as effective as a ACH speaking of the Small Lasers meta.
Can I blame people for playing them? Naw. But when people try to claim they ain't broke as heck? THAT is where the ridicule starts.

Too be fair i'd expect a discrepancy considering it has the Clan XL. I don't think the Cheetah is broken, as in from a technical standpoint. That XL though is a huge survivability bonus compared to IS lights.
I actually find it harder to kill a well piloted locust than a cheetah. I was killing cheetahs left and right with the wolfhound.

while it is the most effective manner, when I hear Comp say they have no problem killing them, then I watch their Twitch matches,...and I see Adi and others exposing themselves to ridiculous levels of fire constantly, with only about half the shots seeming to register, and I still gotta say hitreg on fast Lights is still more fubar'd than on other chassis.
