They say that TTK will increase with this patch. Looking at the agility nerfs, I don't really see how that's possible.

Ah, well then, may the Centurion rest in peace. They are performing very sluggishly and this is why. Words cannot express my level of anger right now. The centurion is my go-to 'Mech and it has clearly suffered heavily from this nerf.

Yeah, these nerfs are getting out of hand. Mind you, I never log onto these forums to complain, but this time I have to. They went too far this time, and the problem is PGI doesn't fully understand how nerfs impact gameplay because they are clearly not playing the game. I'm very disappointed.

EVERY mech is slower. It's not like the Centurion got nerfed and made it the only mech that's slower.
If they did a speed reduction across the board of 10% the Cent would still perform at the same levels it did prior to the nerf.

coming next patch will be a "speed tweek" module for MC only.

10% speed reduction across the board would affect certain mechs more than others. Lights that rely on speed for survivability are certainly impacted more than assaults like a DWF.

To be fair global agility nerfs hit harder against mechs that rely more on shielding and twisting for their playstyle, that's probably one of the reasons they gave agility quirks to brawlers like the Atlas and Victor.
According to the test that Church of Skill did at least the Centurion AL is a beast with the new quirks, but it's quite possible that the brawlier variants suffer more from the agility nerfs.

It would affect every mech the same.
No they aren't.
If the top speed in the game was 120, that would be the fastest. It doesn't matter if your light would survive longer if it could go 150 instead. It's still THE fastest in the game. Same principle here.
As pointed out in another thread

so as we all know that will get exaggerated and hyperbolized to death, but realistically it's a minor adjustment across the board that keeps everything just as even as it was before the nerf.

I'm glad some folks are intelligent enough to understand what I meant in the first place. I was not referring ONLY to top speed. The effectiveness of the Centurion, in my eyes, was in its speed, agility, twist speed, and turn speed - not that I will directly insult others on the internet by naming names.

I couldn't possibly disagree more.
How do these nerfs impact gameplay, in your mind? Other than possibly hurting certain medium mechs more than other weight classes.

Insulting the intelligence of people who don't agree with you is a great sign of someone who really doesn't have much of an argument. Just saying.

This is wrong, I don't understand why this is a difficult concept to grasp.
Let's say a light mech that normally moves 150kph gets a 20% speed nerf to 120kph. It's survivability goes down significantly because lights rely on speed more than armor to survive.
Let's say an Atlas gets a 20% speed nerf from 50kph to 40kph. It's survivability is not even close to being affected in the same manner because it relies on armor much more than speed to survive. Nobody is missing an Atlas no matter how fast it moves.
In the same way, agility nerfs affect slow assaults more than light mechs and it somewhat evens out.

I understand what you're saying.
Of course the higher your speed the greater the reduction.
Point being, if every mech can't go any faster than you're going, you're STILL the fastest mech in the game.
not to mention, 160/kph to 154 is hardly "devastating"
