Now that we have the report function, there should be an Honor Teammate/Enemy function also.

Borrowing from games like LoL, there should be a badge for getting a certain ratio of honors to reports, to show that the person is such a good sport and to give more incentive to behave better and also honor others who did or acted well.

This could play right into the ballpark of the mentoring topic(s) and the discussion of how veterans keep supporting us noobs tirelessly and keep you from throwing the towel too early. Hat tip to Raubwurst and all those others that are constantly giving me tips. A badge like that might be very rewarding and for us trainees a way to say thanks.

Maybe it should be limited a little so as it would not be possible to rain glory upon others but to hand out 1 per day max e.g.

Even a MVP vote at the end of a match comes to mind ....

Actually, I think this could be an EXCELLENT idea. We've been trying to suggest mentoring solutions and ways older players can help - including what might motivate people TO HELP, in some other threads. By and large, most think bribes and things like cbills, loyalty points and such would not be a reasonable or fair system to implement, but some do things just for recognition. Not necessarily attention, but simply hey... if you are happy with what I did, spread my name, maybe I can help others.

An honoring system might really be good in this respect too. Provided it isn't just a "like button", some way of filing a positive report could really play a role in immersion too, if it was viewable to others in the same faction/s at times, in the sense that it occasionally could be mentioned in an in game "crawl" or update in the faction warfare tabs. But asides from any implementation like that tied into other stuff, just simple ability to put a shout out out for someone would be cool, without it being a counted negative REPORT against the person it's supposed to be praising. That's the flaw to attempting to use the in game/in match "Report" player feature to do this.
