There's a problem with the multiple convergence mechanic. The playerbase. It's divided. Some loud people don't want mechanics that get in the way of their twitch based "skill" FPS.

Add a "simulator" mode for those loud people. They can play to their heart's content on an easier mode.

Would that be like that fabled 3rd person separate queue? Or perhaps the elusive stock mode? :3

No, simply a mode within the academy.

What about those like myself who would love a mode that replicates the lore? I.E. you have to target enemies in order to hit them with any accuracy or regularity?

Hey cdlord, if you ever want to play in a group in WoWs, hit me up, i'm KHETTIFER there.
I'm up to tier 6, but its far better fun below tier 6, match making can get a bit wonky past tier 5.

PS. In a BB getting multiple citadels and one shotting a cruiser at 18km never gets old.

Do they have a spread out resting position that they revert back to when you are not moving/selecting them so you can't line them all up and leave them kinda like how arm lock works?

If we are talking about WoWs, you can lock the direction your guns aim to by fixing the guns in place or have them follow a designated compas spot. You have constantly turning turrets that follow your view if you do not use locking mechanics. I would also like to point out that while you have multiple reticles, you can only fire the cannons when they are in your main reticle that you use to actually aim.

As for survivabillity and TTK, once you are able to land citadel hits one after the other, you will kill stuff really quickly.

Not everything is going to nor can it be implemented for every single niche of players. I'm not saying that to be harsh but honestly I don't see how you can make what you're suggesting without a complete rework of the entire coding and system. Realistically that's just not going to happen.

You're talking about targeting mechanics, radar mechanics, LoS mechanics, lock mechanics, weapon damage mechanics, reworking of a lot of different modules and weapon systems. That's a completely different game, code, engine, etc. you're talking about (ok maybe not engine but you get the point)

The suggestion I made above requires far less work and could realistically be implemented I think. It's simply a matter of setting up another queue.

Will do! Thanks. WoWS is my side game for now so I am on it pretty irregularly. Played this morning for a few matches around 6am MST to get the win bonuses. :)

I play both and they get really grindy in higher tiers. Carriers are a big issue in higher tiers in WOWS. They can send in a couple of flights of torpedo bombers and basically oneshot a battleship. They are the equivalent of artillery in WOT. You will see what I mean when you get to higher tiers. The one thing I took away from both of those games is how popular PvsE is in both. People love the mode and many will only play PvsE. After this clanwars pass if I were Russ I would divert a significant amount of resources towards making a viable PvsE mode in MWO possibly even with tanks and elemental AI units. I think it would be wildly popular if done correctly.

Had a solid 3 weeks on WoWs prior to the recent event, i havent been on since, but i will need to get some time in on the german cruiser line soon, trying to get the Konigsberg done, the higher tier german cruisers are right up my street, got a thing for 8 inch guns.

Warthunder isn't any better. Once you get past your biplanes and a few WW2 era prop jobs those planes get insanely expensive. You get just enough freely at first to build a decent hangar. Once you're past that though...
You're talking MONTHS at least to grind out a free upper tier plane many times. (Don't even think about jets)

There's not a single solitary mech in this game that a player can't earn within the first week of playing. From the biggest 100 ton mech to the smallest 20 ton mech.
That simply is not a grind to me.
