This isn't about the content itself, but I'm thanking PGI for releasing the Patch Notes on THEIR WEBSITE the DAY BEFORE the actual patch.
This took me by surprise as I haven't noticed previous patch notes being released on the MWO website before the actual patch until yesterday.

And I still remember when, if we (the Forum and Official website members) wanted to know about the patch notes, we would need someone to go to tweeter or reddit to get the information in first hand (they would place a link for the patch notes, not the full details).

Even if that's still going on, placing the PNs on the website one day (or more) before the patch day brings a feeling that this is actually the official place to get information about the game we all love.

So for this "oh so" simple thing, I thank you PGI!

Edit - Added the way they placed the PNs on tweeter.
Edit 2 - Capital lettering to help.

The problem is, that there is so much content in the forum, that you can easily miss out announcements.
(That's really an advantage for twitter where you can select who you are listening to and read all news ordered by date).

But of course: Thanks for all information posted on this forum :) There is nothing sadder than missing information as a regulary forum-reader, while others know more information by only reading twitter/reddit

(Threadadvertising: For this reason I fill this thread wih twitter news for all the ones, that don't listen on twitter:

True and if you read the OP you will notice I'm thanking them to have placed the post the day BEFORE the patch day on their website.
Check the post date and the patch date.

Previously they would place it on the day, most of the times right at the same time as the patch would go live (or a few minutes earlier).

And you would find that same patch information outside mwo's official website before it was made available to the website members.

They've also had it up the day before launch a number of times; but what the heck, Hammer away.

Yup, because quite often you won't know the full and exact patch content till maybe an hour before it goes live (and even then things can get pulled if their are upload issues)

All of it or the promotional "come, look at the new things!" stuff that would be useful to push out as social media marketing? For shame!

Really not sure they used to tweet out the minor fixes, but happy to accept it if you can provide the link.

It was disappointing to see before when all the information was released on reddit before here.

Thank you, that's why I typed what I did in the OP.
Had you read it carefully you'd see you didn't even need to type what you just typed, but oh well.

Quick search on the forum -> Patch Preview for Tomorrow

There are tens if not hundreds of posts like that, I'm glad we don't need to keep doing it and PGI placed the Patch Notes like they did and because of it, I decided to thank them.

Hmmm...

'Mech Fixes and Changes

Hitboxes have again been adjusted for the following 'Mechs, blending the changes from last patch with their original states. These changes reduce the expansion of Side Torso exposure introduced in last patch.

• Catapult
• Nova
• Jenner

I unfortunately didn't get to take out my Catapult during the last Hitbox adjustment, but overall opinion seemed positive. I'm wondering if this new change kind of ruins things a bit :/. Darn, I wish I would have taken out the Catapult, but I didn't expect them to make another hitbox change so fast. Hopefully it is for the better.
