[FLG 01]

The title says it all: I think the warhorns are a nice idea, but they should sound like horns, not like a synthesized jingle.

There are some nice warhorns in game already, like the Cameron Star horn, but there should be more. If PGI is doing new warhorns, please let them not sound like jingles.

they're vanity items, if you want a horn by one that sounds like a horn, if you want to boogie, buy one that lets you boogie.

Perhaps it was my bad wording: I am not complaining about the jingles. Yes, I dislike them, that is why I do not mount them, but I am ok with others liking them.
It just would be nice to have more horn-like warhorns, so that horn fans have greater variety of warhorns to mount.

Couldn't agree more. I want a war horn that looks and sounds like a freaking warhorn.

The horns are fine and some sound good. None look good. Mostly because I don't like rotating flashing lights impeding my vision. Please add the hide horn option.

This is up there with the "QUICK PLAY" button in the bad department.

Yah, not really thrilled with the IS ringtones.

And the few actual warhorns I like block my vision, so no purchases there either. And I've bought a bunch of Clan warhorns because they actually sound cool, so you're losing money from people like me who would buy more IS warhorns if they didn't sound so metrosexual.

Still wishing for a Road Runner horn that goes "Meep! Meep!"

Fully on-board with this thread, more horn in warhorn and less/no music, for those of us who want manly warhorns. They really are/can be visually distracting, when really it's my teamates and opponents I want to hear the sound, let alone me. They can't see inside my cockpit, so the visuals have no impact on that part of their allure...at all.

I'd pay for a Nelson Muntz "Ha Ha!" warhorn in a heartbeat. A Rick Flair "WHOOOO!!" would be nice. And one that plays Ash's "YEAH BABY!" from Army of Darkness would make me smile every time I heard it.

Some people want horns, and that's fine. I want things that make me chuckle every time I hear them.

I agree, I run the Liao warhorn on some mechs, for some faction flavour, but no way does that wimpy jingle sound awe-inspiring. Stuff like Pressure Chamber and Cameron Star are where it's at.

That said, I'd really like a Yakety Sax warhorn for my 140+ km/h Cicada. Also, when I'm in a foul and/or trolling mood, I'd probably run the occasionally-mentioned but probably-never-implemented toilet flush warhorn.

A horn so loud and terrifying it literally scares your opponents.
