I have to say, i'm glad the recent changes took away the whole Gauss meta that was basicaly present on every mech of every weight class

what i'm not happy is the fact that they have not realized yet how important was and is the clan range advantage
IS meta has always been superior to clan (becouse of quirks) and clans have always been superior to every "other" IS chassis (except for the few ****** clan mechs)
What happens now is that the mobility of all mechs (except a few chosen ones) has been nerfed couse of skill nerf, while clan also lose the range advantage when most mechs can pack IS medium lasers with a 300+ meter optimal range

Not to mention it becomes impossible for clans to counter the ERLL spam from IS
Just grab any IS mech with a 20% energy range boost and pack atleast ERLL + range module et vuala! 1000m optimal range laser

It might balance the solo and group queue a bit but CW is utterly ruined in favour of IS as long as this choices hold.

I find the op's post too general. There are good and bad mechs on each side. When was the last time you saw a highlander for instance. When clans first hit most of my is mechs were so outclassed I nearly quit. Now that some mechs are viable again to the average player I find this good. Play a hunchback then tell me it's easy mode vs the top teir clans. It's not fun for the average player.

Yep. Caught us. All the comp teams in the game don't actually know how the game works and every single respected ranking system for what mechs/builds work best are wrong.

It's a huge conspiracy. The NSA helps coordinate with our own special bureau with the UN to help coordinate the conspiracy globally.

Or Clans still have the best mech in every category and best several heavies, even if the IS has a couple specific chassis that are not too far behind in specific situations.

I'd go with the huge conspiracy.

my KRD, W/L, cbills, would all disagree with you, but you're more than welcome to your opinion oh and my fun levels in those mechs.

It's funny how people have said that for years, yet every single one of those mechs is beastly and 2 of them have served me well and performed well over 1k damage more than a few times.

I mean at least add the free heatsink in your STK-4N build. There is literally no reason not to if you are determined to run 5xLL instead of 6. In fact adding endo allows you to run a STD310 engine as well. I just added more speed and more cooling efficiency to your build in the last 2 minutes without sacrificing anything but c-bills.

clans are easier because you dont have to buy all those upgrades. you might think you are saving cbills playing is, but say that after you get endo and dhs. you dont have to worry about issues running xl vs std. upgrading engines gets expensive fast. or buy clan and avoid those hassels. if you are mastering mechs and dont want to spend a lot on mech bays, clan is a good alternative. master 3 and keep 1 and all the omnis. recycle the stripped chassis back into your next clan purchase.

I'm slowly making my way up that mountain out of being so bored with normal play that I want to see what it's like being leet, but for said normal play...it really doesn't take much for a build to be viable if you are intelligent in your application.

Psst, I'll let you in on a little secret "know it all elite roxxorz master race pilot", I put that together in abotu 2 minutes in Smurfy because I didn't have that particular 4N build saved in my mechbay there.

Just as a sidenote, usually I find it more interesting when people use the word "tryhard" when they're really doing nothing but just being insulting because they don't like someone else's build and such. Keep on keeping on though
