Its that time again, more units to join!
We here at the Grenadiers are a new upstart mercenary unit affiliated with the Federated Suns, and its ruling House Davion. We a primarily a US based unit, but welcome others from across the globe. We are especially interested in a few more dedicated members from Europe.
We aim for a professional, but laid back atmosphere were tactics and team work take precedence over rigid hierarchies and "colorful personalities". We have a place for everyone, from the grizzled BT/MW veteran to the new and uninitiated future mechwarriors. A place for those who want to plan maneuvers, ambushes and orders of battle, and those who just want a few friends to fight at their sides. We offer extensive training, and familiarization via MW4:MercsFree for new Mechwarriors, and will have extensive training once MWO goes live.
Many of us in the Grenadiers are current or former military, and we know the importance of team work and orders, but we also realize that MWO is not the military, and that our primary objective here is to have fun. If you value a close knit and team work oriented unit, the Chirikof Grenadiers are for you!
Know your Mech, know your job, know your team, have fun and kickass!

Your site says mostly US based but no time zone. What timezone do you guys mostly play in?

Why are you called grenadiers? Infantry who specialise in throwing grenades doesnt have much to do with a mech...=P

A grenadier historically is based on the old revolutionary/Napoleonic war era combat formations. there were the line infantry companies (bulk for the fighting force), the light infantry companies (skirmishers) and the grenadier company. the grenadiers were the largest strongest soldiers, and were used as a spearhead in assaults. In this case, the spearhead company in a combined arms force would be a mech company, within a armored/mech. infantry battalion.
(they would sometimes carry grenades or other explosives for assaults, breaches and other tomfoolery)
like most BT units, the actual name has little bearing on the unit composition (IE, dragoons, light cavalry, hussars, fusileers, jaegers, chausiers, rangers, lancers, etc)
