The quirks might have been a bit high, but even with them it took a fair bit of skill to do well in them at higher tiers.

Before - LRM10 cooldown 3.75s -25% missile quirk -25% LRM10 quirk -12% module -5% Skill tree = 1.24s

After - LRM10 cooldown 4s -20% missile quirk -15% LRM10 quirk -12% module -5% Skill tree = 1.92s

Effectively increasing the cooldown by 55%

And they removed the heat gen quirk on the secondary weapons.

It might be that for 'just me' i could do above average with the 4J as it was, and now with 35% reduction of LRM DPS 'I' can't reach average anymore with it.

It's a shame, because mech's you can do well in stay being played while ones you can't get side-lined, and i liked the 4J.

Nope, deserved it. You want that much LRM firepower? Put it in something bigger and slower.

Literally the easiest LRM platform to use because of those quirks. Glad they nerfed it.

Great that they nerfed the Hunchy !

-50% cooldown quirk !?

Thats really to high, regardless the weapon that got a 50% quirk ! In this case of the Hunchy a 50% quirk means that this little Mech has effectively 4 x LRM 10 equipped. Thats nonsense !

It would also be nonsense to give a 4 x AC5 Jäger a 50% quirk for AC5 cooldown - because this would also lead that this Mech would effectively has 8 x AC5. And people would get in rage about this.

Great balancing so far !

It was an abominable noob-magnet. I'm glad they nerfed it.

I never saw one in competitive play, and it got hit harder than those you do see. i suppose its just the big numbers people object to rather than if it's needed.

So does that mean you are all glad there is another mech that will most likely not get used much?

Shall I just dust off my SCR and become a CoD clone?

It's not like the Jager was a rare mech or anything. How often did you see the 4J prior to the quirks? The Dragon 1N is a good example...how often do you see that variant nowadays? Or the Grid Iron? Just because they were monsters in niche situations doesn't mean that they were truly good mechs. They all had certain things that were weaknesses...in the 1N's case, it was removing the right arm. The Grid Iron and 4J most likely ran on XLs...which is usually not the norm for a Hunchback.

I played 4J LRM before the quirks and learned how to work it and do well so this is not a nerf for me.
You know what? I have never seen anyone try dual LRM5 allowing more engine and Energy space. It is less dependent on LRM10s now. I should try it.
