Hey Guys,

have been in CW for a while. This should be a thread collecting ideas to improve/balance CW a bit more.
And guys: this is not flaming, whining, offending, or whatever you wanna call it. It's just for constructive criticism purpose.

So my 1st ideas:

As a BT fan since 1992 there are some things that would be cool if brought closer to lore:

- Clans don't work in lance of 4, they use stars of 5 mechs. Why not use that? Further on they don't use companies of 12 but binaries of 10 mechs.
When you compare tabletop's BV of a company of IS (4 light to med highspeed here RVN/FS/GRF/CN9, 4 assault STK/AS7/AWS/KGC, 4 med to heavy LR support CPLT/GHR/JM6/ENF) to a binary of clan mechs (5 fast light to med Mist Lynx, Cheetah, Adder, Stormcrow, Uller and 5 heavy to assault Warhawk, Dire Wolf, Ebon Jaguar, Timber Wolf, Mad Dog) you'll still recognize a difference in BV of 18k IS to 23k of Clan. And all mechs with Gun4/PS5! BV is an item to balance tabletop games of course but it is also an indicator of capability of mech designs. As all of you know a 55t chassis of Clan mechs compared to IS chassis of the same tonnage got more firepower, armor, speed and better heat management. So tonnage can't be the indicator to balance games! The conclusion here is:
If you have got two players with about the same skill, one in an IS chassis and the other one in a clan chassis of the same tonnage, who would you think will win more out of 10 games? I promise the Clan pilot, whoever it is, even if they change after 10 games and play another 10. It will be the one with the clan mech for sure!
Now you may say: "But CW is just about team working! It's not a duel system 1on1!" Of course you are right! It is absolutely all about team work. If you don't have a good team around you, you'll lose. But again: if I have two teams about the same skill, one with 12 IS mechs, the others with 12 clan mechs of about the same tonnages, who would you think will win more out of 10? Same answer here. Because Clan chassis are the better without question and it should be like that. So why not use the lore to balance it a bit further... Clans use 10 mechs in one group, IS 12. It would help to even the odds and be closer to lore.

- Clans like to attack each other almost as much as pushing towards Terra. After the lost battle of Tukayyid clan vs. clan increased rapidly. But the easier targets of course are IS planets, because you fight IS chassis and the worse groups of players (most of the good teams are Clan anyway because if you want to be competitive you need clan chassis). So how to increase clan vs clan? Increase the reward: clan vs. clan gets you 25% higher cbill and XP bonus. the same for the IS side when fighting the clans (new rising Star League comes together against the clans and so on...blaaaa).
So:
IS vs. IS normal reward
IS vs. clan IS gets 25% bonus in XP and cbills
Clan vs. Clan both sides get 25% XP and cbill bonus

Finally, CW is a cool idea but as you is obvious with a huge problem in balancing and other flaws. That's what player counts tell us. CW was one of the things why I was one of the founders of MWO, but in this state, it is just good clan groups bashing random IS groups into the ground. There is so much more you could do!
