At least with the first Tukayyid event it was fairly close. With Tukayyid 2 it is a clan stomp. So much for rebalance. I will withhold the high number of available snide remarks about this rebalance endeavor, even if they have been earned at the price of player enjoyment.

In the first battle for Tukayyd 228th was IS.

Now both -MS- and 228 are wolf, meaning the two most active units that actually bring in consistent wins are on the clan side.
You would need to force them into nothing but Kitfoxes to offset player skill vs the IS pugs flooding the queue...

Aye, competitively speaking, this has nothing to do with mech balance and everything to do with where the skilled players are.

Seriously, some of the 228th guys target and shoot so fast you'd swear they were computer programs with cheating ai. They're that good, and the standard pug masses will be lucky to get more than a few kills against their better teams per match.

I wonder if an adjustment has been made mid event as I have witnessed IS mechs outranging clan counterparts. IS seem to be more powerful than Clan mechs.

Un-Nerf Clan Heat Curves, Armor, Range and Fire Rate. They dont need to be massively larger than IS stats of the same, just slightly better. It does not feel that way now.

Nothing were done mid-event, except maybe for Clan's underperforming mech' buffs. It's just that most experienced players has finished their challenges by now and laid off the Tyykaid until the last hours, when all the hell is going to get loose to get victory.

Nothing were done with Clan's armor nor Fire Rates either. Heat dynamics does not seem to affect clans much, aside from limiting laser-vomit behavior, and only few specific IS mechs has quirks, that bring their range slightly over the base Clan values, and the difference is not that great.

I totally agree. Ever since the new patch and rebalance, it seems in ever public and\or clan wars it has been a TOTAL clan stomping by the IS.

I have noticed how accurate IS aims are and how much more damages being sustained by IS weapons than before it was close fight.

My impression is that Clan Mechs are much less OP than they were. Possibly even UP vs the top few quirked IS variants.

But that doesn't matter as long as they each bring two Cheetahs in their deck.

Cheetah Rush = Gens/Omega Gone = Game Over.

'Shoot the legs' doesn't work when there are 24 legs all intent on running to Omega and taking two shots at it each. 24 defenders cannot put down enough fire to stop all of them getting through. IS has no StreakCat/Dog that can take them down.

I wonder whether PGI play the game enough to know this is what's going on.

I just did some maths with the tournaments screen, depending on your viewpoint the results suggest Clans are 25% better than IS while IS are 20% worse than Clans.

that does not take into account the faster drop time for Clans so Clan players are less likely to get board of waiting and give up, or the fact that the Clans seem to have most of the top units.

just for the record the unit I am part of wanted to switch to IS but on learning of the tournament we would have had break contract and would not have been able to change to IS until Friday, it there had been no penalty faction breaks, or more notice of the tournament the second most successful unit for Jade Falcon would have been playing IS

The Balance seems pretty good except for some over quirking of the structure of a few mechs, but even then they are Med mechs on the IS side but I'm sure it will be adjusted. My question is was there something done to the Missle flight profile as I was getting hit even when behind building and such in my leggs, reminded me of the 90 degree turn missles we had back in closed beta alittle.
