Hi guys. I've settled into the quality settings I'll be using for the CS:GO to MWO video series I'm creating. I need someone or a few people to check how the video looks and sounds and let me know if it's not balanced right. Or if there's any ways they would improve the production feel.

Please take a quick look at the generalized shield asymmetrics guide using the "basically" final settings I settled on. Quick responses will help me get the guide going faster if you're able to :-)

Thanks guys.

your voice is a bit quiet in the video it could use a bit tuning so its a bit louder, other than that good video!

I recommend running a noise filter over your audio to get rid of the hiss. You can do this in Audacity or Reaper, which are both free downloads, and many video software can also apply such filters.

Also, if you're going to teach new players coming into the game how to build their mech, don't show them while using a bad build as an example. You have a lot to learn, yet.

Here is the build you settled on by the end of the video: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0946f6e3a177193

- cAP is practically worthless. You don't need it on an energy EBJ.
- A heavier Targeting Computer is a complete waste of tonnage. The only one that you could argue for is a TC MK I, but even then usually a DHS is a better investment for one ton.
- you didn't frontload your armour, it is imperative you do this. You only need 1-8 points of armour on the rear. Any more than that is a waste.
- you didn't customise omnipods - for omnimechs (most clan mechs are omnimechs) you can swap out hardpoints for better options.
- you could have put your main weapon (ERPPC) in the high torso mount for better poking.
- you finished the build with 0.5 tons leftover. Never never never never leave this much spare tonnage.

Here is a better version: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...caa5fb9f63fd2bc

- TC and cAP removed, they weren't worth their weight.
- EBJ-A left torso used for extra energy hardpoint.
- ERPPCs mounted high on torso - the SPL is inserted first to occupy the lower slot.
- some armour is removed from the legs because the legs rarely take much damage.
- only five points of armour on the rear - the rest is moved to the front where it is more needed.
- remaining tonnage filled with heatsinks to help cool the build - the combination of weapons is hot and needs as much cooling as possible.
