On Very High graphics settings the pirate's bane's weapons look like this.

On low settings the muzzle flash makes it possible to see.

Currently with the muzzle flash the way it is it's still not worth mounting machine guns.

I agree!
One of the most annoying thing on my PB at the moment as I am running 1xMG and 4x SPL....and everytime I fire the machine gun I can't see a thing.

Same here was just playing my PB today and that damn flash.. I couldn't even see where I was going... zoom in and you might as well just kill yourself :(

Really ought to be fixed. This is the first thing I noticed about my peanut butter bug. Right before I noticed that by carrying ECM you are made a priority target and don't last as long.
The muzzle flash thing could be fixed by shifting the attach points of the MGs to a different part of the CT. Maybe above the cockpit, where that darn rollbar blocks out the sun?

Actually, the only thing that used to make the Pirates' Bane survivable was ECM. You're actually being targeted because you're a Locust at close range - I have seen half the enemy team drop everything to chase me. ECM means that they don't get constant reminders every time you pop back into sight of one of them because they hit R.

Still, I got tired of having to use thermal vision in broad daylight just to be able to see past my own guns, and went with a pure laser build. It's still fun and all that, but I'd like to have the option to use my entire 'mech.
