For the last day or two, I've been having this problem where the HUD will disappear after I get killed and re-drop in a CW match. I've checked keymaps, nothing for that; there have been no driver updates for my Nvidia 545 card and Im fairly baffled.

So far, I have to quit/rejoin to force the HUD to reappear. From the ingame sound cues, the HUD still registers keycommands, weapons fire, targetlocks can be heard etc. But there is nothing, not even the map will come up, although the scorecard does, as does the game menu (via the Escape key).

The only major change I've made was swapping to a Steam install, although I've done a lot of CW matches without issue, so I don't think that's it.
Hoping someone here will have a simpler solution/explanation before I fire off a ticket to PGI.
As you can Imagine, I'd like to not have to quit/rejoin every time I get thwacked in a CW game to keep playing

Have you tried the escape key? Last time i had no HUD i spammed escape a few times for the in-match menu.

Hmm, haven't tried spamming the escape key. Will keep that in mind.
So far, got some games in for CW and haven't had the problem.

This is no new problem, eben if this is happening now to you first. Many of us had that before and you will find more threads about disappeared HUDs in CW before.
I would say that it has nothing to do with installing per steam.
