AWS-8Q

Was thinking about all the things people pair with three large lasers and since the 8Q has a lot of heat reduction quirks, I figured I'd try giving 2 PPCs and 3LL a try. The range is quite good and the alpha is nice while reaching around 600m or close to it for full damage with modules (585m for the LL I think).

Using a standard 300 engine and full armor, this mech with the 50% PPC velocity quirks can fire them off at low heat and follow up with the 3 LL several times before needing to cool off.

Some people might want to squeeze a medium laser in the head but I didn't bother. Armor values are default. Just tweak the front/back to whatever you want. Posted Image

That's my CW build except with ERLLs. LLs should be a pretty solid pub queue build though. My weapon placements are PPCs on the LT and all lasers on the RT+RA.

I've seen Proton run this almost exactly. He alphas the PPCs when he needs to and eats the ghost heat. Other times it's separated into two groups. MPLs for close range DPS. Also good.

Damn that sounds quite appealing actually, its been a LONG while since I've piloted an Awesome. Will give that a try for sure.
