I've been saving quite a lot of C-Bills from games and events and was looking to get some Clan 'Mechs (now that I think they are more on par with IS) and was wondering if Christmas would bring a long awaited C-Bills 'Mech sale...

What do you guys think? are you saving for sales?

If you're going to wait for sales to buy mechs, then you need to plan for at least a year of waiting. Generally there are sales during the major holidays or specific times of year, for example Halloween or Thanksgiving. You can expect there to be a handful of such sales each year, judging by past events.

Whether there'll be one this Xmas is anyone's guess.

I don't think it would hurt to wait it out a few weeks. Unless you're in a hurry to test them out, hold onto your c-bills for now. If after the 25th they don't announce anything then go ahead and spend it and enjoy your clans during the holidays.

There have been sales on C-Bill mechs and Modules. I am waiting before buying any mechs. Especially with steam launching there may be new sales.

I saved tons of chills for the rebalancin quirk pass on the 1st. I ended up buying at least 10 mechs due to the buffed quirks. They weren't Clan. However, in the hotfix several Clan mechs got buffed, mechs that aren't very popular (in MWO not lore) like the Summoner and Gargoyle. You might take a look at the Clan quirk list in the hotfix patch notes and see if there are any of those that you might like.

I'm waiting for a mech and module sale before i go on a spending spree as well.

Theres a pretty good chance that we'll get one around xmes since its a big holiday and PGI will want to put it in to keep the new steam players happy.

They do cbill sales as well but only very very rarely.

I would wait for Christmas just because of the steam release. If they are smart they will put a sale out to capitalize on the new players coming in and you might be able to pick up some things. Dunno if it will be C-bill discounts though.

Any C-Bill sale this month is more likely to be related to Steam, otherwise there would unlikely be nothing.

I would buy maybe 1 and wait for steam and Xmas sales.

You're better off figuring out which mechs benefited the most from the balance pass and buying them now. You'll probably more than make up the difference between cost and savings by piloting better mechs.

ETA: YMMV with real world money.

Well, I kinda asked for a C-bill sale for mechs and got it - perhaps posting what you want on the next sale thread will get you what you want (just mix it up though, because realistically asking for the same stuff every week is just as annoying).
