What can we do to help new players?

I try to send them to the forums, offer them TS Hubs, and even offer to let them join our teamspeak. We even offer them spots in our drop group, willing to kick people out to make space for them.

No matter what I try to do. They seem to be angered that someone or anyone at all is better at this game.

Any helpful suggestions?

Anger comes from little self-esteem wrt to a certain situation. Most people there days are not accustomed to a steep learning curve like MWO has. So, maybe it helps a bit explaining to them, how we all started sucking at this game and that it's not only their fault if they feel they suck at this game at first.

Dunno, still get my arse handed to me in FaP quite a lot, but I've learned to deal with it over time, knowing that it takes more than just me failing to be awfully stomped. Actually, not being part of an organized unit, it seems very seldom to me, that it was actually me who made the difference between winning or losing a FaP match.

Some people may be good at other games, may be very good, actually. So when you are top tier player at COD or whatever, your ego may not allow to ask for help and rather generate anger.

Best thing for these people I see is learning without contacting to other players, so that their ego won't be hurt. Spam with your twitch link and spam with Kin3ticX guide on twitch itself. They'll follow and learn by themselves.
