Hello all. I am looking for suggestions about CW drop decks since the patch. I have only played Maruaders in the last few days and don't know what effects the rebalance pass had on clan weapons. Any feedback and recommendations would be great. I typically drop with the following:
TBR C: 2xLPL, 4xML
EBJ prime: gauss, 5xML (swap gauss now with cool down increase?)
EBJ A: 2xLPL, 3xML
ACH prime: 4xML
I own a bit of everything except HBR (will be in the near future). Any suggestions and post-patch feedback would be appreciated

My dropdeck is
TBR-D: 2xLPL, 5xML
EBJ Prime: 2xLPL, 4xML
ACH Prime: 6xspl (ECM)
ACH A: 6xspl (ECM)
Im sticking with the exact same setup, might take out a ACH for a EBJ though depending on if Im facing tougher teams during the event.
One thing to note aswell, ACHs had the extra leg armor nerfed in the last patch, they kinda slipped it under the radar, but you should check your leg omnipods, switch them out with for legs with either + acel/decel or turn rate, or a combination.

Dunno, this last patch seems to have screwed Clans a bit too much. They must want an IS win for Tukk2. Clan can no longer use its light armor speed and range, because speed without range is nuthin. CW bottlenecks anyway so all the IS need to do is stick together, go heavy and they've won seemingly - since Clan is now forced to get much closer then before. For me Clan has always been about aggression as invader, while IS has been about strength as defender - but the balance seems to be screwed now so that bad IS players can hold their own against good Clan players, meaning any half decent IS lineup gets a free stomp.
I had run TBR, HBR, EBJ, ACH which worked well pre-patch. Just enough armor to keep things at mid ranges, but now mid range is no longer effective for Clan energy weps.
So I'm going to go try 2x TBR's and try 2x SHC. I havent tried SHC before though. Just because now its pretty evident really quickly if an IS opfor is organized enough or not, so I'd rather just try out some mostly ERLL orientated platforms and be generous with the lube until after Tukk2.
Sorry for the rant

I will have several dropdecks ready, depending on the map. But my allrounder afk-queue dropdeck will be somthing like:
1x TBR - 2x LPLas, 4x ERMLas - thanks to the HS changes, this build is actually still really, really good. Good alpha, good heat, okish reach.
1x EBJ - 2x LPLas, 4x ERMLas - same reasoning as above. If the games will turn out to be LRM heavy, it will be replaced by a HBR - 2x ERLLas, 1x Gauss.
1x HBR - 4x ERMLas, 1x Gauss - Possibly might exchange the gauss with 2x UAC/5, but I will see how it goes.
1x ACH - 4x ERMLas or 6x ERSLas. Have not decided yet. Both seem to work decently well.

Well Srms got a buff..... good luck bringing those to CW
heres a quote from the patch thread i thought was very telling.
What I do know is that in my CW drops since the patch, Clan 12-man team are finally closely competing with IS pugs. Russ put out on twitter that he dropped 12-man with Star Wolves to similar effect.
Russ Bullock @russ_bullock 19h19 hours ago
Played a couple matches with SWOL this evening - 12 man against pugs and those pugs did great - matches about 40-48 ish and very fun
(I am not sure if he means SWOL lost by 8, or won by 8. Usually one posts one's own score first but...)
Anyway, make of it what you will.
The sad reality is,
PGI wants to "balance" MWO so IS pug groups in CW can compete equally with organized veteran Clan units. More new players buy IS mechs due to how much cheaper they are, and with the upcoming Steam release, I guess they want new pug players to be on a "balanced" playing field with longtime veteran players.....
at this point I dont know what PGIs logic is, Im just sick of it.... Id rather play a static one player game then one that resembles WoW in terms of constant nerfing/buffing as a game model...... as a gamer, i dont like being patronized and lied to in the name of "balance" when its all a big marketing ploy.
Ive noticed in alot of my pug public matches, ive been the only Clan mech on my team... its in part due to all the MADs, but its still very telling, I keep hearing Clan pilots talk about leveling up IS mechs, especially after this last patch.... and why not, i prefer piloting lights, and theres plenty of IS lights faster then our fastest light, as well as lights with every crazy quirk you could want for every wep you might prefer..... as well as better armor.....
sick of trying to decipher all the nerfs/buffs/quirks, dropdeck weight differences, etc etc.... they want it too be overly complicated, it causes endless debate and confusion over balance issues, so they can manipulate their player base by endlessly making mechs cold then hot,...... i feel like a need a degree in mathematics to break down all the balance issues between mechs..... its obviously intended to be this way for a reason
I remember playing MMOs years ago and complaining about this type of ethics in the gaming industry, and hoping gamers would reject it...... well im done, Im not supporting this game or this franchise ever again,.... I remember when game patches were a welcome event.... not anxiety ridden, worrying about which one of my favorite mechs is going to be nerfed or not, how the meta is going to change again, and again, and again, and again..... and which mechs were going to be the flavor of the month and which ones would be nerfed to ****
instead of playing a competitive game, and focusing on my skill, strategy, getting better as a player/pilot, i have to spend time deciphering balancing changes, and join the constant chorus of concerned players, begging for fairness and real balance.....
i had enough of Quirkwarrior Online....
until they decide to really balance this game, and really improve it, besides just adding new mechs and manipulating their customers with false promises of "balance" for the sake of making money. Im done.

I for one have won all my CW matches yesterday - with ease, while solo pugging. I scored above 2k each single game.
So I do not know what your QQ is about.
Yes, some clan builds got a heavy nerf, especially the assaults. But you did not bring those to CW anyways, because they have always been a subpar choice compared to the clan heavies.
The TBR is still the best and most versatile heavy, the HBR is still the best ECM carrier and the SCR will be the best medium again, once the BJ-1X gets its already scheduled nerf.

Switched one of my ACH to 6 cmls, hot as hell, not as up close and personal as i like to play.... alot of poking, did 1k+ damage with it as a first mech in CW.
with the leg armor buff, best to be a fast mid range poker, not as skill based imo, but does alot more damage then i normally would do trying to out dance opponents

That works quite well. After the recent buffs to Adder you can use 3xCERLL on Adder prime and it works incredibly well. 1k dmg on first Mech is quite possible.

Depends but right now:
EBJ - 5ml, 1UAC20
EBJ - 2LPL, 4ML
EBJ - 2UAC10, 3 SML
Shadow Cat - 2LPL
I also got reserves of:
EBJ: 2UAC 5, 2SRM4, 2SRM6
Shadow Cat - 3 ERLL
Shadow Cat - 2ML, 3SSRM6
Running those mainly depending on maps.
Also got some options with:
Warhawk: 4 CER PPC
Warhawk: 2UAC20
Warhawk: 3MPL, 2LPL, 3SRM6
Bunch of timberwolfs I just don't use anymore
Nova: 12 SL, 2AMS
Nova: 12ML
Nova: 6MPL, 4MG, 1AMS
Adder: 2 ERPPC, Flamer
Adder: 4MPL, Flamer
Adder: 2 SSRM4, 2SSRM6, Flamer
Do not question the flamer!
Can switch those in and out depending on the map and plan we want to go with.

Went into Twokayyid with the dropdeck I explained earlier.
Completed everything in 9 games.
The Laservomit Timber is hardcore now - IMHO stronger than it has ever been.
