Yes I'd like a Crusader.

But I'd also like a Flea too, so my opinion may be slightly suspect.

Penetrator. 75 tons, ECM, jump jets, energy hardpoints, shoulder-level arm weapons.

The King Crab's on line 1. Scaling, hit boxes, agility, and quirks are wonderful things.

So you're saying the King Crab's not OP and has a role? Isn't that the idea?

The Awesome is also humanoid, a lightweight in its tonnage class, has bad hardpoint locations, and neither ECM nor jump jets.

I love the Crusader, it's my favourite mech and it isn't just "a missile boat" (It's the fricking mech equivelent of a Centurion tank), it's versatile. The Catapult is too similar to the Crusader if anything, not the other way around, and I agree the original artwork looks better and suits better considering the original feel for the Battletech game when I played it. This mech is pure awesome. Although I fear the completely weird heat system for MWO compared to battletech is going to throw it off.

Outside of the yearly PGI-original chassis, the mechpacks lately have been back-to-back Reseen. So if there's an issue with the Crusader HG certainly doesn't seem to be it.

also Longbow when

Not really. I don't like the load out and every variant is pretty much the same loadout except it changes SRMs for Streaks or something very minor like that.

65 tonner missile boat. Sounds familiar?

They'd also have to do something about those leg weapon mounts.

i think pgi should do hip turrets but meh, they seem to just move them to the torso. i dont see anything stopping them from putting missile racks there.

But they were all variants of allready existing MWO chassis. Until we get Crusader, Wasp or Stinger I'm still not sure if PGI really "won" freedom for the unseen.

The Vapor Eagle was Unseen too, IIRC.

Yes, this is an old thread, but still valid, I too would like to see the Crusader in MWO, would also be nice to see the Wasp, Stinger, Valkyrie, Mercury, Exterminator, Guillotine, Thug (for tabletop I made a custom Thug with 12 MG- 6 in each torso and 2 ERLL one in each arm), Imp, Grand Crusader and the actual Solaris mechs like the Koto, (Ok, sure it was pretty much just a 25 ton Locust, but I still liked it) also wouldn't mind seeing the Clan Mech- Behemoth, as well as the other IIc Variants we don't have yet.. aka Locust IIc, Griffin IIc, Shadowhawk IIc and Phoenix Hawk IIc

Not really. The design belonged to VMI, which FASA legally aquired but simply chose not to reuse after the lawsuit by HG.

I got to ask though, aside from the Crusader being kind of iconic why do people really want this mech? How many people have went over the Sarna.net and actually reviewed all its variants? I mean there are like 16 variants but the ones in our timeline are all pretty much exactly the same mechs, with the exact same hard points and 90% of its weapons are in its arms which means the hard point locations would be horrible. For Example, you couldn't really use big ballistics because then you wouldn't have room for lasers or missiles in the arms and because all the weapons are in the arms or at waist height (including the leg mounted Missile launcher which I would assme they would move up to the lower ST), you would have to expose the entire mech to fire. It would basically be a "Cool Looking" mech that would be a very subpar in game.

That being the case, I would really like to see PGI focus on bringing mechs into the game that at least has a chance of being average if not above average to good performers rather than waste resources on this.
