Has this happened to anyone else?

Counter Attack on Hellebore Springs. A player started with an ERLL Raven and proceeds to snipe at range. Once his CT got red he pulled back and stopped contributing to the team. He avoided combat, became the last man alive on our team and ran out the clock. He got a match score of 720 (I think the highest in the match) - something is wrong with this system!

There is such a simple solution to this. If your on the losing team you don't get the surviving mech multiplier to the match score. Take away the incentive to hoard mechs in the dropship. This will not adversely affect the majority of players - you should have gone thru your entire dropship during a losing game anyway!

better idea, keep usual score caclulation and add 150score per mech left in your dropship if you win. If nothing gets divided no one on the losing side will protect additional mechs for some score preservation instead he could use those remaining mechs and probably rack up more score by shooting stuff.

It's called left-click his name in the score screen
then click report
then report him for non-participation. Problem solved.

Why should I be penalized or hurt in score as a good scout pilot? I spent almost an hour in my spider in 2 matches last night. I wasn't avoiding fights, I was moving around the map providing scouting info, sniping, providing ECM cover, setting up LoS targets for our lurm support.

I might do 200 damage if I'm lucky in that thing. So explain to me why I'm not just as "important" to the match as you in that role?

You can also send in the report via email support@mwomercs.com

That's how we used to have to send them in

That would take care of 1 player not the problem in match game calculating that he managed to exploit.

There is no reason that a player on a losing team should have the highest match score in the game!

Brilliant. That way when anyone gets a red CT/ST they immediately back off, and it slowly trickles down to the point where no one attacks either side because they'll lose a mech and therefore lose a big chunk of score.

You could also "accidentally" drop a strike on him next time he does this.

And then get saddled as a Team Killer. Also a brilliant move.

Very hard to determine if the Strike was intentional but also costs 40K. Really want him dead at no cost?

Use the "Meta Luke!" The "Meta!" :)

Accidents happen, same as when you accidentally alpha your buddy in the back clicking into the game from youpr0n.

When I was with OLD I honestly think we tried to be careful with our aim.

Since I joined -MS- I have learned that 4 back armor will NOT cut the mustard and legging the last person who hits ready is tradition. Not to mention just shooting each other once we are in the final 30 seconds of a winning match.

Some of us were lol. Now that we play a bit less these guys have somehow manage to get even more kill hungry, but face first is still our motto.

That's not score inflating; that's the base score.

Dying, that's what divides your score. Use 3 mechs? x/3

That's the problem here. The game doesn't see that you're wasting time after you get crippled in your first mech. If you were contributing from start to finish with 1 mech then getting a huge score for not dying is good, but right now if you want high score, you literally lame it out and duck after you deal high damage.

l33t Raven snipetards are the BEST players EVAH.

I could see maybe giving players +50 matchscore per unused mech, but what they have now is just way too ridiculous.

But they only get that score if they win the match, which they don't if they hide...
