last i recall their so called acrhon took her grandmothers name to hide her true name broke up fedcom, started the Fed-com civil war and was utterly a idoit? Meanwhile the Crusader clans were pushing towards terra again? Why trust people who follow an idiot Like Kathrine?

Oh and did i mention she called her brother Victor Steiner-Davion a traitor while he was away fighting the clans?

http://www.sarna.net..._Steiner-Davion

little note here.... SHE called for the assasination of her mother....blaming it on Victor.

overall she's a despicable witch and by clan standards she's a blasted Dishonorable politician who should be cleaning latrines.

May be a good chance to try a fresh account to actually find out if the "Grind" is as bad as many make it to be.

Sorry to derail the thread a bit but..
Is that even legal, abuse possibilities I mean? I tried to find answers but they are a bit vague. On the other hand, PGI would surely love a user using money on two accounts. Again any point in having two, beside having different faction and or different mechs?

And yeah, this Steam launch will be exciting, hope Battletech games like MWO will draw more fans, eger to play, eager to learn the lore and all. Good luck PGI Posted Image

Legal to have multiple accounts, yes. Many on the forum have a clan and an IS account for RP reasons. Subject to abuse, well, also yes. There are allegations of certain large units making multiple accounts, and spamming them into CW to get afk opponents. This requires multiple computers as you cannot (to my knowledge) run multiple instances of MWO on one machine.

Steam will kill MWO as it is, for sure. Will it be better after release? Don't know, no one knows, even devs. I think not. Why?
1) Right now 80% of players don know wtf is CW, Absolutely have no idea wtf is goin on in CRE MODE OF THE GAME! With steam it will be 99%, so CW for pugs will be absolutely pain.
2)Even more cry = even more stupid nerfs-tweaks, like it was with clans. When they was released clans was fine, but all cry a lot so devs nerfed them and now there is no fun for IS pilots to play VS clans coz there is absolutely not competitive! By the way - I have no clan mechs and will not buy any. They was fine when clantech supreme IS but now its too nerfed. No challenge to fight clanners as IS.
3)Devs will be forced to waste much more time on stupid things like visualization etc. Because community will cry much more...
4)Oh there was much more things in my mind at morning, but no, after 12-hours workday they all are gone.. will post special topic when they will be back Posted Image

UPD.
4)technical reasons - single MWO client will have addition as Steam client. 2 programs instead of one = twice more tech problems.

Are we prepared for mass newbies, tking, raging, and possibly cheaters?

none what soever

So really the only changes you see would be the mass influx of newbies really... Everything else we already have ingame unfortunately. New players would be a good thing.

My family has three paid-MWO accounts. One is Clan. One is IS. And one is pure Merc, going where the action is. In this way my daughters and I can enjoy pretty much whichever aspect of MWO and CW we choose. (And we have no doubt we'll supported PGI with multiple purchases of select Mech packages - we ALL wanted an Urbie!)

Looking forward to the Steam launch. Hopefully we will have an influx of new players, and ones that last, not just come in and leave. i know there will be some of those, but hopefully we will have more that stay around. Congratulations PGI, continue to do good, get better in areas where you need to improve. Thanks for everything so far, even when I did not like the changes, I have still enjoy MW:O over all, which shows since I continue to support you financially.

Thanks for the answers. I like roleplaying! I might do an pure lone wolf or clan (though still an avid FRR fan, feel natural since Im a scandinavian).
Im in a unit but aint doing CW anymore due to some strange disconnect issue (running the CW map on testing grounds prove it isnt the maps faut). Could be my laptop in need of replacement Posted Image
Gotta wait to see how Phase 3 will be and if I have time to play CW at all. Have alot of other important things in my life to take care of too.

Regarding those units who abuse like that, pretty low and dishonorable of them. Hope they dont misuse the steamnewbies that will come soon for such purposes.

So? This may be good news for PGI, but for us regular players? Nothing changes, in any case Steam only meant headaches for us like the skill tree nerf.

Very true, but PGI is stuck in the 90's, it hasn't learned from the success of WoT or even CounterStrike by integrating Command Roses, Function Keys or Target Pinging. That and at least WoT has a better economy.

Finnaly an honorable IS pilot who wants a challenge instead of playing easy mode. And who is thinking things through

Frankly, this is good news.
- I look forward what the future might bring, even if it won't "straight away catch on", and many people will be turned at the doorstep(it has a steep learning curve, granted), if PGI will keep its track record of "After IGP" era:

- The game's volume and player base should only increase, giving it a fair share of publicity every time something new would be released VIA Steam Channels.
***

Honestly... This gives me hope, that MWO can expand beyond its horizons, on the long term. The boost to C-Bills, the internal balance re-haul; the feel how "every mech variant feels unique".
- This is more than a step in the right direction, it's a leap. What the future brings after Phase 3 of CW.. I await with great anticipation, especially the "future PvE" content that Russ hinted, but said he'd inform at some point in 2016.

Now this... would be the turning point I would expect to turn the tables.
- I stick with the company that tries to best itself, and thus far PGI has been going the right path. I'll stick with it in the future with my personal "investments". So bring it on, Archer.. I got my card ready.

(p.s. about that Phoenix Hawk...)

Unless PGI is implementing something like steams VLC (valve's anti cheat), the move to steam means nothing to the community.

Is this PGI's way of trying to grab new player's money?

Or, are the game servers going to be hosted by steam as well?

better in game pings?

better server stability?

I would like to know how this move is going to make the game better.

Oh, you hadn't heard? Catalyst is re-doing all the unseen mechs, hence PGI has been shelling out them pretty much at the same pace.
- So... us all old Battletech vets can rejoice, as we can get a proper tabletop mini for us, for Battletech & MWO, like the Warhammer.

So I will be getting that Phoenix Hawk, in time. The Harmony trials are interesting.
***
- Just like there will be for MWO. The Steam Release is crucial, and I'm glad to see it happen under the previous patch.
- So... I'll keep my sights there. The game needs all the publicity it can get, and the Unseen/Re-seen help in this field.
