Few questions regarding tomorrow.
I play 1 game. MWO is it. I know nothing about steam.
Will I have to download steam itself?
Is there a bit more of a how to or walkthrough on getting this to work on steam?
Does steam or steams mwo cost money?

You don't have to install steam. If you don't use steam, or don't care, just keep doing what you are doing.
If you want to load steam, go here and install/read up on it: http://store.steampowered.com/about/
