Mode voting and in-game earnings.

I am all for map voting, but mode voting is so utterly broken it's ridiculous, especially in solo games (pugs, pubs, whatever you want to call it). Just to explain with an example.. We can't exclude conquest mode. There are tons of players out there who hate conquest, but are forced to play it because of mode voting and just don't care about doing the objective, which almost always leads to a loss for the rest of the team. So why does no one care about objectives? I would say because there is no incentive to do them. The PSR system and the c bills payouts are so hugely dependent on a player's damage and kills that it encourages people to play skirmish regardless of the voted mode. This results in more games lost, fewer cbills, and negative PSR changes overall. I think this is so cyclical that people hate certain modes because no one plays by the mode because there are no benefits. I would enjoy conquest if everyone tried to win instead of just going off and fighting, but I can't blame them for it because at the end of the game, those damage dealers get the money, not the players doing objectives.

There are two solutions to this:

One. Go back to having the option to exclude game modes. This is the simplest way.

Two. Keep mode voting in the game and restructure how the game allocates PSR and c bills for the various modes. This solution would encourage the people that enjoy each mode to play them more. It would also encourage people who just want PSR and c bills to play the objectives (granted there are still going to be people that just want to shoot at other mechs since that's the premise of the game to begin with).

I can completely understand if PSR stayed only related to combat, but at least give more c bills for playing the mode. That *could* at least do something to curb this problem. I do also realize if earnings were completely dependent on game mode, we'd just have a bunch of locusts queuing up for conquest and it would be a drag race around the map. I'm sure somewhere though that some balance can be achieved and we could get more people playing the modes and less match losses due to people just playing for damage payouts.

You need to understand that the devs always take the easy route when it comes to things like this. Player enjoyment doesn't really matter so long as they can make a quick change that requires little effort like forcing everyone to play modes they do not like rather than actually improving the game modes so that people actually want to play them. They lack the imagination to actually do something meaningful, and choose to "fix" things at the expense of others.

More focus on objectives is nice always. But I want to say, most of times conquest ends in skirmish battle anyway. So I don't get why all the hate on conquest from some players.
